I am a seaside/cottage/antique person and that is how I decorate! I dont have a farm! Lol! I live in a 55 year old bungalow and have tons of antiques that I have inherited from my father. My mom also gave me some Royal Albert tea cups that I love to use for tea parties with my daughters and grandchildren. Fun!

Something I started to add throughout my house are beautiful tiebacks with Fringe on the end,looks great on edge of a bench,end of bannister,bookcase, etc. Your flowers are lovely.Your pitchers are great.
I'm so in love with the vintage look. I have always loved the dainty teacups and saucers paired with doilies. It just just gives you that English inspired look. Job well done Jessica. I absolutely adore the whole thing.
When you used the vintage teacups in the jars I had a flashback of my grandpa cooking. He didn’t own measuring cups, because he knew how much he needed of each ingredient just using the teacups. Thank you for that sweet memory.

I also love collecting vintage China! Just as a word of caution since you have small kiddoes is to swab them with lead test strips. Lead paint was super popular back then and many of my China swabs positive. It’s trace amounts so as an adult you might still use it no problem, but for young kids you have to be more careful!

I loved this video Jessica. It is funny that I recently found Cottage core through a CZcams channel and discovered that it has always been my style. I have over the years gone from Victorian to Country Victorian to romantic country and now moving to my new house I have Incorporated farmhouse but I've always loved the country look and vintage antique pieces and putting out things that I love. Basically I have now decluttered and incorporated some more farmhouse-style.. but feel strongly drawn to cottage core. 🤗

I always enjoy your videos. So many great pieces. Those green house cookie jars are so cute up on the hutch. It is interesting to me to see people move away from the galvanized, wood and white farmhouse look that was so popular. I think it is fun to see where people go from there. In looking at your kitchen I would just throw a thought out there to consider. I think the coffee bar table looks very modern with all of your antiques. I think an old buffet or a wooden console would look pretty there. Just an idea. I love your home.
It’s amazing how shelves that are so “farmhouse” can instantly become cottagecore. The style evolves to a more feminine softer style with pops of floral that makes a the room feel like family heirlooms were lovingly placed on the shelf. I keep my grandmothers China on my hutch and we use it now almost weekly. It’s a floral Spode print with pale yellows blues greens. I just accentuate different colors in the pattern with decor I have in my home. It’s fun. I gotta head to Trader Joe’s for some flowers. Your choices are just lovely. *#Cottagecore* Jessica, I knew you would nail this decor style beautifully and you did! What I personally love about a cottage style aesthetic is the mixture of vintage and rustic. I recently added jute rugs, sea grass baskets, and live edge acacia wood pieces to my home. I opted for more greenery in the form of ferns as opposed to florals. I find the marriage of vintage and rustic to be calming and cozy, and who doesn't love the story behind each of those thrifted treasures?

I really like your style. you have that vintage/cottage feel but not cluttered.
