Anyone else notice that the kick is... unique? I don't really know how to describe it.
It's synthesized from scratch. Probably the Doepfer subtractive analog that he's known to use now days ( can be seen in his video with Linus tech tips)for the main wave, the some additive/spectral synthesized noise added on top. But I don't know that much.I'm just throwing it all out there regarding everything I know about this sort of thing.

Actually deadmau5 himself said this was trance, as a response to armin van buuren, a year ago or so...guess he was kidding. I cant see trance anywhere here, still though what a massive techno track and what an astonishing album
it is fucking trance.
The soundscape and tempo are definitely Techno-esque.
As are distorting reverbated oneshots and dubby delays.
The breakdown teases a Trancy uplifting vibe then doubles up and drops into a Techy head nodder.
He really should allow his creative mind and ubundant analogue equipment skill to explore Techy landscapes.

Ben NCM Dude I'm telling you this song is fuckin mental live. That sub bass and the "boop" sound makes your entire body vibrate. I would actually go as far as saying, its almost terrifying hearing it live.

i was getting kind of tired with his last 2 albums, but this one brought be right back to the old days. i remember finding ghosts n stuff back in 2012 because of a reeses commercial lmao. it was the first time i'd ever heard music that i actually wanted to listen to more of. that song got me into edm, music in general, and music production. so nice to hear him making what he wants. looking foward to the future of the mau5's music.
