Today is the last day to order your aviation Christmas sweater if you want to guarantee delivery before December 25th: theaviationcentral.com/products/red-aviation-christmas-sweater
I want "luckily no one was injured" on the sweater
please put the promo between videos not over top of one
it’s to overpriced😢
My grandma says she can knit a better sweater for less than half the price so i guess i'll give my money to her.
Dude your videos are good but your voice and tone is god awful. I don't know where you learned it but it's quite possibly the only thing holding your channel back from exploding.
love how the police ran to help
You're wrong buddy, the police ran to give them a ticket 👮
@@TeddyKrimsony illegal parking 😂
Only to ask for an envelope with some money in.
Well yeah that’s their job..
My first thought was the risk of him running into the tail rotor.
The parallel takeoff was beautiful! That's where you can really see their high speed.
what a contradictory statement.
you can see their high speed only if you're not in motion. in this clip both planes are in motion so it's like the opposite plane is standing still much like how we see an aircraft floating while we're driving, also known as parallax.
you need a refresher course in optical illusions !
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist1 Shush bro this ain't about religions
I took a video last week of a parallel landing in Dallas. I thought it was cool. My wife didn’t care. At all.
@@jshumphress13Haha its just one of those things where men go: hell yeah. They just don’t get it ;)
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist1sorry to say but I don’t care about some guy from 5 centuries ago blud
Always massive respect for those that run *towards* the danger.
You gotta GET TO DA CHOPPA
Not always
She was a lady
Those planes taking off at the same time from San Francisco are making it look like a Flight Simulator
SFO is a fun airport to fly into. Looks like you are landing on the water and all the sudden the runaway appears. And, gets a bit windy from time to time.
The 2 planes taking off next to each other gave me fast and furious vibes where they both take another road and get separated and "it's been a loooong tiiiiiiime without you my friend" starts playing
All fun and games till they turn to eachother
@@skinkly That would not be pleasant indeed
bro i was exactly thinking about that
First time seeing another plane take off at the same time, that was so cool !
It looks like from the game tbh.
1:52 "But I'll tell you all about it when I see you agaaaaaain"
Fun fact about runway 22 at Amsterdam, Delta is, as of last week, no longer allowed to land on that runway due to the fact that one of their airbuses landed a few meters short of the concrete on that runway a few months ago. Runway lights were damaged, but the aircraft was fine (just a lot of mud on the fuselage)
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist1repent to a fairy tale character?
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist1take your sky daddy kink elsewhere
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183you mean the most documented historical figure? Whether or not you believe he is the son of God is up to you, but he’s no fairy tale character.
@@tothemax9850 LOL. A bunch of people decided to write about him, 600 years later. Yes, it’s a fairly tale.
@@tothemax9850lmao wtf its just made up stories without rvidence
I’ve missed quite a few of these weekly dose of aviation videos so I’m looking forward to binge watching them all at some point!
That parallel takeoff was truly something
i had no clue that airliners had the capability of slowing down that hard
Full thrust reversers ain't no joke.
Okay the twin take off looked super nice!
coincidentally looked up your channel less than 10 secs ago
Runway 22 at Amsterdam is 2020 meters long or 6600 feet. A bit more than the 3000 feet you mentioned in the video.
But they used another runway you snat
@@Xsar1942 no they didn't, in fact there is no 3000 ft runway in amsterdam, check before saying shit, and what was shown in the runway is accurate to runway 22. No airline would EVER fly an a330 into a 3000ft runway.
Ah, seems like they stopped using about 3000 feet of runway and it's not the runway's length. Thanks for letting me know.
@@kal-jd6co Ok
They stopped easily. You can tell by the runway markings.
seeing runway 22 used by bigger aircraft traffic is a very rare sight to see. normally only private jets, general aviation and helicopters use that runway, and in all my times passing by or flying to or from Schiphol I've never seen a bigger commercial plane use that runway in my time. in fact, I did a bit of research and a 737 overran that runway back in 2010 cause it was so short. also worth noting that wind was extremely high recently at Amsterdam, when I assume the video was recorded, hence why the A330 probably had such good stopping distance, and why the other runways where closed off.
Do you happen to know why the airplane in the video came to a fulls stop on the runway?
If this guy didnt talk through the entire video. I would have watched it.

Cool to see the engine switch into the reverse to help brake
I experienced a similar landing as that A330 in EHAM in 1994 in Iguacu, Argentina, in a 727. Pilot circled the waterfalls to burn off fuel (he announced it over the intercom, told everyone to look left to save the money for the helicopter ride). On the landing, jungle, jungle, jungle, grass, runway, BAM we were down and very hard braking started. IIRC. the plane stopped as well and when it turned, the wingtip was past the far threshold... I think when we stopped, we had less than 10m of runway left.
May I just say, "yikes!"
I can imagine the pilot saying hold my beer!
Hälsar från Bergvik!!! Och klass 6! Gött jobbat Lucas
I can't go a week without checking in to make sure that luckily no one was injured.
first time to see a plane taking off from the view of another one nice
People in cars: oh look, a helicopter
Cops: GET TO DA CHOPPA
Good job on the pilot of the yellow plane for avoiding Pilot Induced Oscillation, by not trying to immediately pitch down onto runway after the bounce.
Rose off the runway, stabilized, then attempted another landing. 👍
NICE
good quality in this vid.
great video brother from the imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲
Those are some SERIOUS brakes!

Stopping an airliner on a 3,000ft runway?
That is insane. So insane that I find it hard to believe.
The shortest runway in Amnsterdanl 04/22 is 2020 meters, so is 6627 ft. I suppose he made a mistake with the numbers. Is still a short runway, but no 3000ft
Yes, the runway is longer, but from the touchdown aiming point to the last available taxiway to be able to taxi back and cross another runway is only 990 meters, which is about 3250 feet
@@ernestomesa7612there is a difference between runway length and available length. the brakes on those airliners are tough, i’d not be surprised if it did land within 3000ft.
@holditorsken2030 He stopped in about 900m according to Google Maps
@@gaminglegofandelta doesn't even allow a320s to land on "3000ft" as the voice over stated.

Nice video 👏👏
Next up I hear the Cpt has entered his craft in the Alaskan STOL competition.
That cop RAN into who knew what. Explosions, blades anything could happen. - THAT'S - Heroic.

The Bounce was 👍
I transferred college to Hawaii mid-semester. Lucky me, we had a blizzard and my flight was cancelled. Was supposed to fly out of BWI, but there weren't any new flights (a day or so later). We (my parents and I) ended up driving down to Dulles and...we got a flat tire on the way there. Flew out of Dulles for a connecting flight to the NY / NJ region and then westward.
It was still snowing extremely hard and ended up flying in a propellar plane. Ugh, the hard bank after take off was not pleasant.
This was my first plane experience (other than when I was 2 which I don't remember).
1:00 the "hard landing" with a "bounce" was a fast landing with a float. You can't take off with too little airspeed. And you can't land with too much airspeed. The "bounce" was flying the airplane into the ground hoping to stick, and the airplane declined to stay there, due to laws of physics. This is a common learner mistake. Cut throttle, float, then land when speed drops. There was plenty of runway...
That was a bounce. Not a float.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 He did a lot of floating after the bounce.
A bounce generally refers to a hard landing with little to no float after.
If you are at or below a good landing speed, but with a little too much descent rate, and you don't flare to drop descent rate, you will bounce hard, then go up, and land hard a second time immediately after.
Are you a commercial pilot? A private pilot (like me)? Or a "I've seen videos, so I'm an expert now"?
@@marc21256 he wasn’t flying too fast. What you are talking about, going too fast and forcing the airplane on the runway, you would see a float initially and the touchdown with the bounce a bit further down the runway.
This guy seems to be on speed but flared too late and when he did flare, he over corrected. The float you see afterwards is him or her adding power after the bounce to safely try the touchdown again, without running out of energy.
Oh and to answer your question: 31 years of professional flying with 16000 plus hours from C-150’s to B747 and a bunch of airplanes in between.
2:23 the 330 landing was at AMS, runway 22. That runway is normally used for private jets and sometimes for 737s/320s. I dont even know how the 330 got cleared for landing at that runway.
The pilot made the calculations and took the choice.
We use 22 a couple times a year as a main landing runway, usually because of weather or main runways being closed. A heavy landing on it is nothing special really
That officer sure was in a hurry to write that helicopter a parking ticket!
Wow the planes that taking off at the same time must be super loud.
The planes taking off was definitely a race
HAHAHAHA! But I just ordered a different sweater. I love this site.
U know its a BH when all of a sudden weather changes
I've never seen human operated aerocraft before thank you.
I miss you flight simulator content
1:21 The bets were made by the pilots. SMS for go.😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Imagine if the pilot at 1:20 made a announcement liike "now if you would look to your left, we have United challenging us to race"
The person talking sounds like a cyborg
1:21 Fly and furius or Fast and fly... 😂 ✈️✈️
I reckon Air traffic control setup that parallel take off and had bets who would take off first lol
Cool
The dual United take off wasn't a coincidence...both captains were former US Navy Blue Angel pilots and the tower controller served at NAS Pensacola before joining the FAA and being sent to SFO. This was just a trip down memory lane for the trio....
For those of you who didn't catch on...yes that was entirely sarcasm. There's numerous videos of simultaneous take offs and landings at SFO. There's strict separation limits and if I recall correctly it's one of the few airports in the US that it's allowed. I wouldn't be surprised if both crews arranged this on their company frequency for both wow factor and safety as there's no risk for wake turbulence if you're side by side like that. ATC might have even suggested it as well for efficiency.
Got skills..
Good ol autorotation
The police just runnin
We've got a Black Hawk down, we've got a Black Hawk down.
Super 6-1 is down. We've got a bird down in the city.
I like to think that the cops were thinking, “you Americans always doing stupid stuff!”
Those 2 United jets taking off would've made a good advertisement photo op if they had slid into echelon formation for about 30 seconds on climbout 😅 but yes I know, formation isn't exactly a cakewalk in an airliner
Why was there only 3,000 feet available in that runway? It is two thousand meters (6,600 feet) long.
That short landing, if it was D.R. or Miami, you would have heard clapping!
Cop was on it!
I’m surprised dual take-offs like that are allowed. You’d never have two aircraft fly that close to each other in any other situation.
Diverging courses is what permits it
a clear sunny day in San Francisco? Even rarer event than 2 planes taking off at the exact same time :D
2:40 Why did they deliberately come to a complete stop on the runway?
2:04 is the schiphol oostbaan and its actualy used 1-3 times a month during strong winds or storms from the sout-west and ye the biggest planes that can land there are a330 or b777 altough i once did see a 747-400 land on it when it had 100+kph headwinds but only once
Romanian police. Glad to see this
Dude you can SEE the reverse thrust on the A380.
1:57 they are racing.
Amsterdam’s shortest runway is 6627 feet, not 3000!
That was not a "US" Blackhawk if it was in a rehearsal for a ROMANIAN AF day. lol
It was.
*BLACK HAWK DOWN*
i unfortunatly lost my brother this week and he was only 14 years old and her name is christian after he passed away
I saw it in flightradar24, apparently they squawked 7700

INCREDIBLE
Those blackhawks sure are falling out of sky regularly 😂
Can we take a moment to appreciate that we can get on a flight these days and take off right next to another plane at the same time
They have done that for 50 plus years out of SFO. Nothing new.
1:00 - Navy pilot. Nothing wrong with that landing :)
2:27 - в кабине пилотов звенят пустые бутылки :)

American aircraft seem to have a tough time staying in the air.
I must remember not to laugh at Romanian police "clown cars" if I ever visit. I've never seen a police car so small! The hats you advertise look good. People give you a strange look when you wear a Christmas sweater and it's 38°C on an Australian Christmas day.
Hi, That is no big deal with parallel takeoffs. I have done it a couple times.
In my opinion nearly everything on this video is no big deal
