- Celebrating of the life and works of Siewdass Sadhu - this is a tale of an indentured labourer who stood up for his beliefs and challenged the mighty British Empire.
History-Lypso - a historical event told in the form calypso - the traditional music of Trinidad & Tobago. "Temple in the Sea" is musical amalgamation of the sound of the pan / steelpan with the sounds of instruments like the dhantal, the dholak, the sitar and the harmonium.
It is also a message to the next generation - never give up, follow your dreams, your passions and your aspirations. - Hudba
I attended the temple about three to four times when I lived in Trinidad and in my opinion I was amazed as how it was built. I still would visit whenever I am in Trinidad.

@@shakti8550 Thanks a lot. I try to make my songs as close to reality as I can. There were some historical details that were unclear - the research gave conflicting information - so I had to compose the lyrics in a "vague" way in order not to say something that might be historically correct. This reminds me of the calypso Jahagi Bhai. Get help on writing the music score and lyrics. Gregory Ballantyne and Leston Paul( alive) comes to mind.

@@edmundpersad6641 Jahaji Bhai was a masterpiece of national unity. Sorry, but I compose and arrange my music, write my own lyrics, and fund my own productions. That way I am not dependent on anyone, any organization or any ministry or political party. It is about being independent and free to express my thoughts, if you see what I mean. Stay strong, bro!

Thanks for your remarks. I am not sure about the spelling. Different people spell it different ways - some spell it Sewdass and others spell it Siewdass. How can I find the way the Sadhu's name was spelt? Thanks.
George, his son still lives in Waterloo. Maybe u cd find out from him. The spelling is not so important as we all know who you are referring to.
In the face of such an excellent tribute, there is no need to denigrate by looking for spelling errors. If you know the spelling that he used, just let us know without fuss.
