  • Kinilaw na Isda/ Kinilaw na Dilis is a Filipino dish that is more popular and well known in the Visayas region. However, “kinilaw” refers to the dish which makes use of raw meat as a base ingredient (like fish), while “kilawin” refers to a “kinilaw-style” dish in which makes use of meat that is already cooked by heat. You can use a wide variety of fish for this preparation.
    Kinilaw is sometimes referred to as “Philippine Ceviche.” The preparation method for this dish is 100% Filipino.
    This another recipe is perfect as a refreshing appetizer at perfect din kasama ng mga pritong ulam.
    KINILAW NA DILIS (fillet fish)
    INGREDIENTS:
    1/2 Kilo Dilis
    1/2 cup of Vinegar
    Dash of Black Pepper
    1-2 cloves garlic minced
    1 medium size onions finely chopped
    1 finger sized ginger finely chopped
    1-2 green chili
    1-2 red chili (optional)
    2 tbsp of white sugar
    1/2 tbsp of salt (you can adjust according to your preference)
