damn that counter into axe mode guard point for the follow up is genius
i didn't even know that was an option, but now i get it. doing anything else would leave you open too long. That always felt weird to me, doing the sword attack and not being able to doing anything after to defend myself, and now i know. Only thing i need to learn now is how to do an elemental build.

@@AnglAfro counter morph slash can be used as a guard point when morphing both to and from axe mode which it should say in the hunters notes, but this is more of an advanced tactic to deal with multi hit attacks you wonât find in guides or hunters notes.

6:05 how did he block after in axe mode? I thought you can only block when the sword and shied were separated?
switch skill that changes axe > sword morph. it replaces the guard timing. instead of having a guard point at the end of the animation, where the shield is up, it moves it to the beginning of the morph with the downside of having an extremely long animation if you whiff the guard.

That's the "Frostcraft" bar/guage.
Frostcraft is a skill which provides a significant attack and elemental damage multiplier. Each of the four sections in the bar represents a different value (1x,1.05x,1.2x and 1.3x at full guage).
Attacking consumes the Frostcraft gauge with each it.
With your weapon drawn, the gauge recharges passively at a very slow rate but sheathing your weapon drastically speeds up the process.
Generally, the skill is used on weapons that sheath regularly in normal gameplay (GS, LS) or can do so with minimal downsides (DB and SnS). It can also provide worthwhile boosts to select weapons in speedruns and niche situations.
It's a three point skill that can be obtained via certain armor pieces or with a bit of luck, from talismans/curious crafting.
