To the people complaining about not understanding the dance, Ya’ll! this dance about people celebrating life, whether they’re gone or still here. This isn’t some abstract post modern expressionist piece, its pretty straightforward and to the point of what its trying to portray. I think y’all are trying to find some deeper meaning thats not even there and then denounce it just to seem cool. Look at this for what it is, and if you still dont like it then that’s fine but you could at least give it a chance to sink in. People nowadays be so quick to condemn and criticize stuff that they don’t know or understand.
This performance was spectacular, the pianist was impressive and the choreography was first class! I watched it over and over and over! AMAZING JOB EVERYONE!!! I so wish I could have a member of the audience so my eyes, soul and spirit could have been blessed with such a masterpiece.
I’m a native New Orleanian and this is not how we second line. I love the performance don’t get me wrong second lining is foot work dance which seen a little bit in the performance. Overall I liked it
the pianist is awesome, the rest, meh, I don't get what this is supposed to be. all the work for a dance choreography that looks random and unorganized? I don't get it, art I guess. I've never been very fond of dancing as a form of expression tho, never got to me at all edit: I've read the description and I understand nothing at all now. wtf

This performance is pure magick! I don’t think the audience truly understood what they were witnessing. This was transformative.
