Approaching a mob boss in your discount unabomber disguise, telling him he is cornered because your brother ''is there'', and saying that you were blowing a security guard because of your blood pressure medication. Vito Spatafore, ladies and gentlemen: tactical mastermind
No Bryan was just there that's all
He must have read up a lot on dat Sun Tahzuu. You know, da Chinese prince Machiavelli? Sil turned him on to him.
Probably should have just brought the brudda with him up front. “Hey Tone. Remember my brudda? Gave me a ride. He brudda, take a walk will ya? Me and tone need to talk.”
Ted Gay and The Parking Lot Prompt Fellation And Its Consequences
@@br3akstuffHe should have yelled fore so Tony knew he was there
"Tone, please, don't turn your back on me. My medication hasn't wore off yet"
Underrated comment.
That was gold, I was thinking the same thing not exactly your comment but there's a bunch thatu can use for that one lol
I'm commenting on my girl's page btw , these aren't her comments, so that bring said vito was a come from behind kind of guy

"He was, wasn't he?"
Lol what a great Silvio line
Yes, except i disagree a bit cuz dressing up like the village people dancing in one of those bars isn't very discreet.
@@T-roc57you wouldn’t expect one of the family members to show up in there though
^True, but come on, he could have at least left state lines!
@@AshMorton-Maybe so but it's still a public place where businesses is conducted; he also coulda been spotted leaving with another man.
@@T-roc57 That was because of his blood pressure medication.
Tony’s biggest mistake was not getting that $200k; he underestimated Phil’s determination….
You know it went through his mind as soon as Vito said it
Yeah, I’m surprised he didn’t take the cash and then have him wacked or Phil getting to him, whatever happened there.
That one dude who “borrowed” 20l from him was smart.
I was actually surprised Vito didn’t offer more, you know maybe long term considering he knew his life was on the line.
Why not offer Tony 500k but break it down into manageable chunks that way Tony has good reason to let him live.
Offer him say 100k personally every Christmas for 5 years, that’s hard to look past no matter the crime.
@garethtaylor1470 it doesnt work like that. If tony knew that he had 500k, tony would have expected the whole lum sum all at once.
If he kept it a secret, and just gave him 100k every christmas. His initial offer would drop down to 100k which is not somthing to risk a war over.
And although 200k is not that much money to these guys, they live day by day. Theyre always cash poor. Every cent they get is a cent spent.
These guys have no reserves because they dont think long term.
Thats why tony had such a hard time paying back hesh his 200k.
He even ended up paying an additional 12k in vigs because he couldnt muster up the 200k all at once.
So, to tony, 200k all at once is a lot of money.
Based on what i see on the show, tony probably earns about 100k per month, and he probably spends about 50k per month.
So he only gets to save up 50k per month on months when theh doesnt have a big score.
So 200k all at once would be about 4 months worth of savings.
Of course, he would spend it all at once instead of saving it. But still, thats a lot of money to him.
If you meant that vito shoud have offered the initial 200k and a promise to pay 100k each year for 3 years, it would be the same as offering just 200k.
Again, short term thinking. Future promises for this guys mean nothing.
If i was in vitos shoes, as in, if my doctor gave me the same prescription...
I would scrape every single penny to see if i could muster up 300k.
And take my family to AC.
Offer the 300k to tony, and offer to give him the deed of my house upon safe arrival at A.C.
The house would be worth at least 500k. And it would be a good guarantee that i wouldnt cheat him.
Tony would know if i didnt deliver on my promise, the house woukd still be there, he could burn it and then hunt me down.

man you can tell in the end that Tony really doesn't want Vito dead over this shit... a lot of the negativity like how he talks to Vito and all that is probably the same thing he accuses Phil of doing - trying to look like a macho tough guy 'cus he's the boss... that scene near the end with Sil outside the Bing, Tony almost looks like he's about to cry, which of course as usual he is trying to mask with rage
Very true! It's yet another example of why Tony can't sort himself out through therapy. He is genuinely angry about Vito's predicament when he's talking to Melfi, not because he personally cares about homosexuality, but because he is, A: compelled not to give him a pass because of the job he's in, B: constantly in conflict with Phil over it (which is doubly tragic given that Phil's in the closet.)
@@MSimp2k6there's zero evidence of Phil being in the closet
@@DrJ-hx7wvDavid Chase confirmed it in an interview. There's no real evidence in the show beyond the fact that Phil was in the can and it's acknowledged that the rules are different there. The fact that he literally walks out of the closet when Vito is killed is about as on-the-nose as it gets with visual metaphors, too. I don't think David Chase would put something like that in the show without a reason, and the interview confirmed it.
