- In todays video we are at 2nd cut silage! It’s been a tough one with the broken weather but we bit the bullet and went for it! We have a monster demo on the pit and my god is she a good one. Well exceeded all my expectations! Also near disaster as one member of the silage crew gets stuck along the pit wall!!!
Hope you enjoy, any questions hit me down in the comments below, thanks for watching! G'Luck

Dont underestimate yourself Phil, you are some operator on the pit.
Great video as always 👍👍.
them russells would talk the ears off a wall 😂
In actually very shy 😀
A great video on farming loved the music 🎵 love Father Phil in the videos .just a great video.Wonderful shots.Wonderful.🍀🍀👋👋👋👋👋👋🤞🤞🤞
A blast 💥
It’s Sunday evening and we are going home to our favourite farmers.Wonderful video we just love father Phil as well as Bro 😎 and liv .So so good luck 🤞.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀💚🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝💚💚🐝🐝🐝💚
Excellent viewing 🤙🏼
Russel Fastrxx are pros in the game and very sound people . I seen Russel sorted out big George Saunders there also when he got his Fastrac . Good men to do business with Phil . The 420 is an animal 👍🏻😊
Right there Russells + Stewart’s both = Straight up Operators
Gang o cowboys lol 😂 only kiddin
Ah thanks for the feedback lads. Great to work with the Stewart’s again
Great to see some in cab foreger footage we don't gey enough of it
Handy to have an extra man , this gave Phil plenty of time to organize the filming . Great craic for myself and Harry too
The samaz leaving a lovely cut
That was a great test for the JCB . Proper demo that and it didn't disappoint. Fair play for keeping in the part where it got too close to the wall as this is real and not a fake video of showing that everything goes perfect as we know in life that ain't the case.. Hope St Swithin is not correct as we certainly have enough rain so far in July....
Oh dear I let the team down 🥴I’ll just say I was getting the feel of things for the pit again nearly 30 years later 😆
@@the13spanner That was great content in the video and as I say anyone that hasn't made any mistakes have obviously done nothing. Fair play for including this in the video as we all have seen this happen and worse at times with tractors going off pits. You have a great machine there and that was the perfect demonstration of it.... Let alone yours but this will help sell similar machines around the country and further as this video has shown what is possible.... Great to see yous on the job at the silage and that clean 3655 getting stuck into the work too.....
keep the st swithin religious bullshit off the channel please
A gram of whatever the demo man's on lol , literally , 👀 he's higher than the pit
Ah Jaysus don’t be starting rumours 😆😆
Mighty job Everybody, and fair play to Robert, who stuck around to help with covering💯👌👍🙏😎
I was just reminding myself of all the hardship at my fathers farm years ago. Great craic all day
Great video lads Russell family great people and the Galvins from killorglin Co. Kerry the best u could ever meet 👍👍
Great video lads, that jcb is some machine to shift grass, Robert knows his stuff, well done great silage crew
i really enjoy the silage buzz, and the JCB really shone thru as an untamed beast
I hear that having the beacons on when buck raking gives the loader another 20hp
Fact 👆🏼
id say nearer 40 hp 😀
@@the13spanner has to be some gains ! Everyone is at it 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Phil fair play Robert Russell
thanks very much, we had great fun getting thru the work. The Stewarts are great people
Sweet that 3655 I used to drive one for a veg farm back in the day
thanks Phil enjoyed watching your video 😊 mate 👍 👌
Excellent video Phil and daddy Phil.
I am not a tractor head but found every minute of your video interesting .
Music is rocking the Pit .
Girl power is empowering to see .
these girls could teach the lads a few things
Great video Phil and crew. So good to meet yourself and father Phil at the Oldcastle show today. Good honest hardworking lads......Ya can't bate it!!
Why don't you let bro on that demo machine phil I tink he could manage it ,can't see you having room for third cut
🤣😂🤣😅
We are delighted how well everything went with Phil and ourselves. A great team to be associated with, its all very real with the Stewarts, and making this video was a wonderful opportunity for us. Glad the viewers have enjoyed it too.
*you can't beat it*
That was a good opportunity for u to get a drive in the harvester and learn the ropes
Nice one Phil. That's a great machine for your setup.
Great to be teamed up with the Russell's
It’ was great to meet the Stewart’s again and great to help out for the day. I hadn’t done the silage job in a few years
Machine envy! Happy days got the clamp done for winter feed and on to next cuts and next clamp! Yes I know you call it a pit, I’m Cornish so we calls it a clamp! Happy farming
Clamps Gud enuf wi me also cooksey
Farmer Phil that was great work
Good shout from robbert Russell’s nice addition 2 ur fleet Phil ! Tom PREMS contractor uses a JAKE TM on the pit also mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Phil good to get some jag action with Father Phil have to sell the tele and the shovel for one of those 420 loaders Phil have to save the u tube pennies for it😂
Great video, grass coming in at a rate of knots when it put that JCB & Buckrake combo to the test, even on a narrow pit.
we certainly were under pressure but the TM loader was just unbelievable
Robert really trying his best to sell ye something
Fantastic review phil...some machine ...that was a real test hands on....thats how to do it...10/10
Thanks for the feedback. We had a great time at the Stewart’s
You cant beat a JCB👌 nothing comes close. Whens the 6480 coming out again? Poor yoke.
That good start for demo JCB
That is definitely a beast of a teleporter Phil.
A mighty video altogether brilliant drone shots & soundtrack 🎵 well done everyone involved 👍👍👍
Lots of good looking grass!
Great video Phil
The new 420s would be a huge step up again 8 speed transmission torque lock in every gear nicer cab and bigger pumps. Price tag is scary scary tho
Yes, I agree the price is scary and then put a man in it and fuel it for a year a second hand loader would make more sense
Nice outfit the grass was coming in fair fast love the jcb
Goodman phil, well done on the 2nd cut silage, id say your delighted with the volume you got, nice too see inside the harvester, great machine that jcb, wud suit your farm down to the ground, seen it in shed at end and on pit, has u convinced u will have purchase it, great have help on the draw, keep videos coming
totally agree, this would be so perfect for Phil
Them new mowers mate are about the cleanest cut I've ever seen
I love my 420. We have it on a 12ft buckrake.
Would ye not get rid of them 2 veneri loaders and the teleporter and have a fresh 420 doing all the loader work
Sometimes you have to learn to crawl before you run
Looks like it's going to be a very large crop this year. The new demo does a wonderful job and just needs a norther set of tires. Very good video.
Great video Phil an great machine have a 19 reg 320s myself mighty machine on the pit to
Good stuff
Great tunes!🤘
Great video. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
thank for the feedback, we had great fun there too
lightbar on the grape is 👌
Try demo a Tm320 might suit the pocket more 👍🏼
Could you patch the polythene with another bit of plastic and silage tape ??.
What show is on Sunday nice to see the 2 loaders on the pit mint 3655 like 3690 hope u got jcb out easy when it got stuck
She Def needs duals keeper off the clamp wall. 👍👍👍
4:30 no comment 😂
Volvo for example is an owners machien but its hard to beat JCB for an operators machine, they are the best i have ever operated for comfort and power to weight
Great video Phil in testing conditions.
Don’t let the loading shovel go
17.25 Russel is lifting the back of the 420 🔝🔝☝️😁
for someone who pushes sillage with a tractors front loader, this TM would be a dream to work with
Class machine. Phil .👌that's the one for u 👌👍⭐
You need to blow out the back of those silage pits and add capacity into the field.
Cracking video 👌🏻 but yer own loader needs a better silage fork? And can we need to see farmer Phil drive the chopper??
Russel sum man fo da chats xx
Excellent video
Great job Phil
Phil. You line the side of the clamp, why not the back of the clamp?
When's the next 3690 video? That's the one we're all waiting on
Phil what a brilliant video, enjoyed every minute 👏 👍
Keep up the good work Philip
Great video ye dont hang about
Inexperienced lads with beacons on all the time, gotta love kiddies
Better than a 435... really..
3655 looking well
Jaysus you could learn to keep it pit level you had some potholes in the pit 😮
😮
Was at great yorkshire show...i meet Cammy from the sheep game he hopes to meet farmer phil at the ploughing in September..Patrick 135...Ztr 8111
Will there be any spraying videos?
You got a good crop there phil
What was she like fuel wise ?
Jayus yere harvester is flying if ! Fair play to father phil for keeping it in top ahaoe !
Was sure it was going to be bro stuck again haha
My tractor is a Massey 3645
That 3655 is a real hunny 👌👌
Interesting that 3655 is a 1996 my 8130 is the same year
@@db1490dave this is a very late model, very last off the line. 8100s were out at this stage
thanks, we have put in a lot of effort with her over last 3 years
Great video Phil she’s a fine machine very clean and that 3655 is as sweet as a nut I had a brand new Volvo l70 in 2000 with a 14ft tighe rake a great job
since British weather records began in 1861, there has never been a record of 40 dry or 40 wet days in a row following St Swithin's Day so it looks like it's a load of tosh, thankfully.
Thats some machine.
Treat yourself to a new loader. She looks like a good yoke and probably a better and more useful machine than the loading shovel
Great machine , would uses not think about hiring one for the summer for the grass if uses aren’t in the position to buy one yet?
Wat is the story with the 6480 phil
What’s the wining noise outve the 420
Ill come do your clamp next year, all i need is a Deutz 230 hp and a buckrake it will look brand new every load
Never as neat as a shovel
We will see
@@harvest585 seen and used both, being able to tilt the buckrake leaves it far better, also able to lift more helps with the climb times being slower, in against the silo walls too not to mention when you get up high have that buckrake on an arm is alot safer
9:25 Did He say €2,500 for a joystick??....😧😧
epic vid bud whos the 80s hard rock group that i cant work out pedel to the metal i think the song is called and i love the TM 420
Is that the father of the mechanic that works in finnegans farm that was driving the jcb that was stuck on the pit.that man has nothing to learn about fastracs.he has some knowledge.fair pit of stuff and more to come.it could be a long winter tho.
That’s him 👍🏻
we got 41 mm of rain on friday here .............starting to look like 2012 now ...........!
More like 1985 lol
Shocking amount of rain🙈
@@FARMERPHIL3690 ask farther Phil what 85 was like. It ran into late 86 and the next real bit of good weather came in 87. Now that was sh1te.
@@seanmcguigan346 yes in deed but i reckon 2012 was worse .........1986 was bad also ........this year is shaping up like 2008 ......very very dry till mid june and downhill there after .....and no end of the rain in sight for the next 10 days ......
@@FARMERPHIL3690 have a rain guage .............kinda sorry that i purchased it now .......but i will admit that i did very much welcome the rain when it came first ......we had no grass .!
St Swithins Day.
Good to see you fp sir
Has father Phil let you loose on the class yet Phil?
Nothing like a jcb
As always a great Visio 😊
Well
Gotta retire the tyres.
Ye should respray the Kane
U must have been bulling cracked phil when the loader got stuck.
Phil was definitely not happy with me 😮. Oh dear
@@the13spanner no tae the for u robert
@@conormoran209 ah he soon forgot about it
@@the13spanner did ya get grub in macs shack?
@@conormoran209 yes that’s where we had dinner in Keenagh. Fan grub
Well we'll got stuck did ya, as me old man said as now get it out thenb ye won,t get stuck again.that was the last that happened mind you took a bit to get out while they all watched me get got big cheer tho .the front will swing you out then drive your self out.keep the side high.the same £35 pound the odd hand shake of £40-50 if did good clean job.but you worked for it long days 80to 100 acre days average 40-50 acre day with moving farm .will say love the smell of the grass miss it
