AI is absolute reality TV scripted rubbish.
This dude is fantastic. One of only two Idol performers this year I would rewind and watch again, or pay money to see. (Abby being the other.) It's a crime he's off the show, but it really just comes down to demographics of the show's viewers. Nearly 50% of the show's viewers favor country. 35% favor pop. Rap and R&B bring up the rear at about 17%. A guy like Roman is swimming upstream from the start. But what a performer. I'll watch for him in the future.
I just can’t stop watching the last part when he get up from the piano! I get tears in my eyes filled with so much joy! Then I see Quantavious jumping up and down with such joy! It just amazing!! Started out rough but once he stood up off the piano that is when he shines
It didn't start out rough...did you listen to his chords and how he slowed it down, intentionally...the piano in and of itself was beautiful. He sang it like he meant to, from the piano...very demure, but beautifully played to the point where he got up and the drums and organ came in and then the background singers...until he put his chest into it and said "hear me roar" and looked like he was roaring...look at it all and take all of it in and you will see how beautiful that performance was from start to finish. Yes, he did the thang when he snatched the mic out of the stand, but the beginning was quiet and beautifully done. AMAZING!

Had it been the audience only voting he would've been at the top. Forcing him to choose a pop or country song , he knew they had to choose anything other than a Gospel song where he shines the most.
