Personally, I always believe Vietnam is a great country to live in. The cost of living is low, the inflation is low, the healthcare system is now much better, Vietnam is much more socially, politically and economically stable than many countries in the world particularly in Asia. Just look at the bloody mess in Thailand last week, the human trafficking problems in Cambodia and the current lockdowns in China! In other countries, the winter is coming up, and the natural gas prices are increasing - 6 times higher than last year! Wish I were there in Vietnam 😁

      @thuylinhnguyenly4945 Před rokem +4

      Hi :) I’d love to help you with your question
      The central of Vietnam faces a huge problem of Annual floods. Idk why that’s the case, something with the geographic of course. I think I should learn more about the underlying cause later.
      The North and the South almost never face this challenge. Whenever there’s flood in the centre, there will be long days of rain in the other 2 parts. At least that’s my experience living in the South.
      However, we have the ‘metaphorical’ flood in the South 😅 to explain, the water drainage system isn’t advanced, plus people throw out trash on the streets, so there’s usually water all over the city and thus, traffic problems.
      Just note that it’s not like that every day and it depends on the roads and the area in which you live. District 2 of Ho chi minh city is a popular area for expats but it’s also notorious for the flood 😂

      Partly true. You must know that English centers in Vietnam are like business. They use white teachers as a marketing tool: charging higher fees, we're serious that we have only native English speakers.
      If you speak English without an accent you still have chance to get a job as English teacher in Vietnam. You have to make video presentation or to come to face to face appointment to prove your unaccented pronunciation. I know a Filipino professor teaching Economics at a most privileged university in Hanoi. And another Filipino English teacher in Vietnam she makes $23 dollars per hour. She has video in CZcams.

I just felt prices were inflated 2x 3x as soon as they saw me. At one point I did not even want to buy something if there was not a written price so I could be sure most people were getting about the same.
    It is not just vietnam. Most of Asia behaves the same towards tourists compared to latin America but I felt it was way too much in Vietnam

      Man go some place else man. Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau or Singapore are all much better options. Better infrastructure, almost no petty theft and the westerners you meet are well normal. If you wanna chill and party in Vietnam go there on vacation. Also get certified to teach at public schools in the US before you come it should be easy to do.

    • @DavidJohnson-dp4vv
      @DavidJohnson-dp4vv Před rokem +2

      @@janchxxheonczsekk6412 With Korea you usually get your flight, apartment and visa expenses covered. HK, Macau and Singapore are expensive but honestly it's worth it to not have deal with the bs in Vietnam. It'll also be much easier for the guy that asked to find work because they put more restrictions on getting in. Like a strict requirement on having a degree and being a native speaker (except China). Japan is a bit of a mix in the sense that for some jobs they do allow people to teach who have had most of their education done in English.
      It also appears that guy who asked may not be white and trust me on this he will have a much easier time in the places I listed finding a good job as a non white native speaker. It really that much easier for a non white native speaker to find a good job in the places I listed. They'll have way more choices than they would in Vietnam. In Vietnam the most likely choices are ILA, EMG, VUS, APOLLO, APAX and a few other fake corporate companies that push fake professionalism. If those are the best choices then that's a problem.
      The number one thing is that how true and realistic are people being about Vietnam online. The big error I made was saying he should get certified in the US since he's Canadian.

    10 What leads to confusion is that, this text is also called: "original texts" while it is already translated into Latin, French, English… And it is that text which was used for the translation of several versions, that text was used for the translation of William Tyndale, that text was used for the translation of King James, for the translation of the doctor of theology John Frederick Ostervald, for the translation of the reformer Martin Luther in the 16th century. They are revisions of translation. I have nothing against a faithful translation from one language to another but it is a revision of translation. Amen! I learnt that one of the fifty-four translators of King James was so good at languages that if he was there, at the tower of Babel, at the time when God confounded the languages, he would be an interpreter. You see?
