Guided by Voices, The Sebadoh and The Breeders on one 7"...nice! Thanks for putting this up, interesting interview. Hard to remember that MTV once had programming related to music.
In 5 short minutes this video touches on innumerable things that meant something to me in 1994 and still do in my heart today: Sebadoh "Freed Pig" and Guided by Voices and Lollapalooza and silly MTV interviewage and L7 and Breeders and vinyl and seven inches and "the best huggers in rock" and gender balance and Kim Deal's hair and the video concept...
L7 did interviews with all of the bands on Lollapalooza that year (except the Pumpkins). I remember George Clinton telling Jennifer Finch she "had hair like black folks" while he styled it and Nick Cave telling Donita & Dee that the Bad Seeds thought L7 were a lovely group of girls and if they "brushed their hair a bit more and maybe wore something a little more feminine", they could get on even better.
is there any footage of the shows these 2 bands played? I was at the charlotte stop of this tour and would love to see a little live from both of these bands...
yeah, i think it might be best to cut back on the drinking when online, but she kinda does sound like pj harvey so i could kinda see where you were going with that.
Josephine Wiggs doesn't seem to talk much; it's nice to see she's pretty eloquent in a semi-weird-yucky-mtv-ish, "interview", wish she was still with the band.
umm it's not that it's a british accent it's just that she's very posh. When will americans realise the small percentage of posh people do not represent the entire country.
ENGLISH accent. I'm English and don't sound like that. She sounds rather posh-thats rather like saying everyone in the US sounds like they are from Boston.......
my 2 favorite bands in one video
Thank you so much for putting this video out. I miss them, L7 and The Breeders.
