- This is the Three year review after Relocation to Pakistan. I also included the Estimated Cost of living in Pakistan based on 2024 data. Certainly hope that this will be useful to others thinking about the same.

Plz try to make this type of informative videos coz we should share info with each other...when we moved from uk, nine other families moved with us but including us 4 families moved to pak...rest of friends moved to other muslim countries...we used to meet up alot and were a motivation for each other...

When your kids grow up they can decide if they want to live abroad or here just like you have taken decision. Don't make your life decisions on bases of politics they will continue the way it has been for last 70 plus years.

Good financial analysis. How are you finding it outside of finances i.e. dealing with utility services, health care and even work life balance? Basically day-to-day dealings.

If, and it's a huge if! Pakistan can secure the whole overseas purchasing process, Pakistan would grow, not only economically but In terms of standards and best practice. It seems the forces controlling Pakistan now, just don't care and extract as much money as they can.

Cost of living np for me as I earn in dollars. Satsified with life as long as u can earn in dollars.

Sounds like you need a side hustle..i recommend learning SEO and picking a business you earn being in the middle of the service.
Have you registered yourself as self employed? You cannot work in Pakistan while being employed by a UK employer for more than 6 months, correct? Please advise. Thanks
I am working via an Umbrella Company, so am considered an employee of the same and am taxed at source 👍

What we need to do with the proof of address of UK for the bank account, driving license etc?
Do you mean if you want to get a bano account in Pakistan and other services, can you use your UK address?
@hassanrafique like If we have a bank account currently in UK while living in UK and we want to keep operating that bank then proof of address for that bank. Which address of UK we can use for the bank?
@@jayh240 once you have the bank account open, then you can maintain it and do not need to change anything. Neither is proof of address etc is needed. You can use your mobile banking app for all practical purposes

Informative video as always. Cost of living has gone up in UK as well from 2021-2022 by a similar percentage if not more. However, pound was roughly 250PKR (2022) against 350PKR (2024) so people earning in foreign currency should be financially stable. Would you agree?
Thanks for you appreciation. Yes, I have mentioned this fact since the beginning in my vlogs too i.e. if the source of income is from abroad then automatically financial stability is achieved 👍
Do you still recommend overseas Pakistanis to move Pakistani?
It depends on ones personal aims... before elections the environment was very claustrophobic as far as civil liberties are concerned... election day was a moral booster and things now seem to be recovering somewhat...so if people can remain politically agnostic and pursue their personal goals whilst relying on a stable financial plan, then yes relocation can still work. If however this is not the case then it is a risk because settling will be difficult. Financial plan is the most important thing I would say 👍

Bro, please can you make a video comparing the quality and variety of groceries in Pakistan and UK. I have found that quality of groceries and dairy products in Pakistan is much much inferior, compared to UK and theres not much variety. I am from Karachi and finding pure milk is almost impossible. Every time I come to Karachi, I have to bring powder milk from UK. If you compare cheese, bread, fresh juices there's not much variety. All the juices are basically artificial with only sugar and flavour in them.
You're comparing apples vs oranges. The quality is directly related to the average income of people. For e.g, Chinese products have a different quality products based on the region. You won't get the same Chinese quality in Pakistan what you can get in USA but these things don't of somebody is making a move to Pakistan as it's all secondary.
You must have a good job to pay all that then so what work do you

Hi Hassan, you must be a brave man who decided to raise family at a place where social fabric has been torn apart. Where human and moral values are non existent. Society is built upon lies and corruption. Where merit has no value. How can you justify this to your kids when they will have to deal with these norms regularly? Cost of living is materialistic, happiness is subjective but values that combs the society are the ones one would want to raise kids in so their mental stature is formed around positive ideas. I know, it’s my country too, I live in New Zealand but will only move back if we can get rid of those who have been imposed on us to decide our fate. What a pity!
Thanks for your feed back. You share the same concerns that I did in one of my recent videos labelled "Overseas Pakistanis and Amphibians". To be honest when I relocated in 2021 there was much more hope and many realities of Pakistan were lost on me ( like for majority of Overseas Pakistanis at that time). Filhaal we will try and counter these issues by home grooming for the kids, but yes every now and then you do see that they ask questions about certain things which you have to carefully explain to them. Let's hope that things can change somewhat noticeably for the better in the next 10 years 👍
Brother. Why we praising the west so much had they not stolen all Industrial Revolution from our countries and divided it. And called us in their countries to be slaves and run their factories and they destroyed our children in the uk and west the English people did not want to work in their own countries. Bottom line we would have been happier in our country and not been comparing. don’t make the west to be saviour

Yes having own house and solar panels can reduce this expense significantly. As far as ease of buying is concerned...it depends on the amount of savings you have...as compared to UK this is cheaper 👍

Those of you who are getting excited about moving back to Pakistan, remember that brother Hasan earns in GBP and his entire family has British citizenship. So he has financial stability plus option of coming back if things don't work out. These area massive factors. Living in Pakistan is not easy and cost of living is going through the roof. So don't come running to Pakistan without having financial stability and option of coming back.
For those who are deciding not to move to UK after watching his vlogs, remember that UK has much much better standard of living and opportunities than Pakistan. Inflation in Pakistan is over 35%, compared to 7% in the UK. This tells it own story. Plus UK is cleaner, greener and your life will be more valued in the UK. People take UK for granted but actually UK has lots to offer despite some challenges.
I have been in UK for over 15 years and i wouldn't move to Pakistan, even though i have an option of continuing my employment with a UK employer, while living in Pakistan. Democracy, cleanliness, greenery and value of life matter to me more. But then, everyone is different. At the end of the day, you need to carry cost/benefit analysis based on your own circumstances. Remember, grass always looks greener on the other side.
Good summary brother. That is what I have always said in my videos...i.e. financial plan and an exit strategy is important..Baqi as you said, everyone has a different mindset and goals so they should balance accordingly 👍
Everyone has different priorities and for some, there are bigger goals to achieve which are way above your thinking. I myself living in Canada for 14 years but planning on financial aspect of things so I can move back to Pakistan.
