  • Over time it is fairly common that the tappets on a Figaro fail - and they do need checking or re-setting as they wear or they can damage the top part of the engine. In this video we show you how to do exactly that and adjust them so that they have exactly the right amount of movement in them. We show you where tappets are on an engine, how tappets work, why tappets make noise and how to fix them. Do get in touch for all your Figaro needs www.thenissanfigaroshop.co.uk

To find TDC cylinder 1 - should add "on the compression stroke" for us first time Newbies. Otherwise spot on guys! Verified the hard way cannot set valves if Cyl 1 TDC compression stroke😢

Hi there, sorry for the late response.
No, the valve clearances for hot and cold are different.
      Warm: Intake = 0.25mm - Exhaust = 0.30mm
      Cold: Intake = 0.15mm - Exhaust = 0.26mm

Does anyone know the torque specs for the rocker shaft re-tensioning kit bolts?

Hi there, sorry for the late response. You can reach out to us via email/telephone for any urgent enquiries.
All m8 bolts should be tightened to 24-26nm and we recommend the use of blue thread lock to assist the aging aluminium head.
