To my knowledge, the Hebrew (and therefore the Christian) God is not - strictly speaking - a material being and therefore has no 'face'. That is one of the reasons Judaism - by the law of God - is not to be depicted.
The Old Testament records mny instance of the Kings of Israel and Judah sliding into idol worship. I would suspect that figurine to be an idol.
