You can do the lookout trail. At places it’s a little steep upward or downward but it’s not very bad. Take your own time to do that, do not hurry. If possible carry a walking stick. The trail gives gorgeous view of Algonquin highlands from a birds eye view. Stick to the assignment trail signs. The other easier trails are the logging museum trail (this trail is very informative specially for kids as they would see the real home, ship and many items related to logging). The spruce bog broadwalk trail is also very easy. At this time of the year, keep necessary precautions for trails. Never do any trail alone when there is no crowd. Avoid trails during dawn and dusk. Keep talking as you are walking so that any wildlife would tend to keep distance from you. As long as you see considerable human traffic in the trails, it should be fine. Without a crowd, bear spray is essential.

Algonquin is almost peak right now! It may not stay till second week of October as you see in the video, we have been there few times during thanksgiving weekend and the leaves have fallen by that time. However, it still looks beautiful with the yellow maples, poplar and birch that starts arriving later. Do check their fall calendar, they update it regularly.
