The most disturbing part was how much meat was used just to make those three sausages.
from seeing how the big tube works, i think its one of those machines that constantly have meat inside them, and you need to put more meat into it just to push the rest out.
Kai Kaczmarski I know, but at a point (usually after the first two) the sausage comes at a 1:1 ratio.

Yeah it looks like a mixeds of Caroline and Alice in wonderland the madness return and litle big planet and a hall lot more.
To me it bares resemblance to Playdead's, Limbo and Inside. It looks great.

same, Yves Allen. Limbo was incredible, and Inside was 10x better, a perfect sequel. This game, Little Nightmares, looks great.

A really good game i would love to be seen remade is Rule of Rose. This dark atmosphere reminded me of that game for some reason.

I keep praying that they remake Rule of Rose, but I don't think it will ever happen, unless another game company picked up the rights for it. Also, it would be great if they converted RoR to ps4 like they're doing now with old ps2 games, because I can't afford $100+ for a game lol.

The fact that people keep comparing this to LBP is brain-rotting.
There's literally no similarities other than the animation style and maybe the physics.
Literally nothing else about this is anything like LBP.
That's why they are. They're calling it a creepy LBP for that reason. Though it would be more so the art and perhaps animation of LBP with the atmosphere of Limbo and puzzles of Coraline.

"Other than the animation style and maybe the physics" I mean that's two really big similarities tbh. This is extremely comparable to both LBP and Limbo, and definitely Coraline. Art style, physics, and the "scrolling" gameplay are all baseline for these types of games. On an unrelated note, I freaking loved Limbo and Inside, and am excited for this game.

Honestly I wouldn't wouldn't even say that, I'd probably only go as far as saying the lighting is somewhat similar to some LBP stages.

The little dude can have a rain jacket but NO shoes. Ugh it made me feel uncomfortable that he had to walk all that mess barefoot. :(

Everything about this, the noises, music, silences, camera movement, aesthetics and designs just come together to make the perfectly disturbing game.
i feel like the finishing touch that would make this game a master piece is if they added music similar to what was used in pans labyrinth, and the use and implementation of gore, where the chef would eat you in all manner of gory ways if he were to catch you. And lastly of course, making the various characters you discover alot more sinister and creepier then what they already are. So basically , im looking for that voodoo vince, pans labyrinth, banjo kazooie(halloween level) feel to it. Would be perfect.

Pretty sure it is not just some random person playing. How do you even know that it's someone from IGN playing? It could be gameplay from the developers that IGN got allowance to upload on their channel.

Indeed! Within seconds into this video I really got the impression of a Luigi's Mansion gameplay, mostly because of the specific camera movement and the overall surreal atmosphere. Nintendo could really take on a more dreary and mysterious route with a potential Luigi title.
They should handle all of this with care, though. A Luigi's Mansion game should not pass the bounds of its cartoony universe and become too sinister, or should I say "over the edge". It has to keep the humour that made the other Luigi games so fun to play, am I right?

Reminds me more of Tim Burton's films than Limbo or LBP. Some of the animations have a very stop motion feel to them, and it seems deliberate. Very cool. Also like the "move in 3D space with a fixed camera" feel.

This just looks beautiful! The animation and art style is just awesome... So detailed too. I can't believe this is actually a game, this looks more like an animated movie.

You mean whomever is playing is playing just like a normal person would and not someone who already knows everything that's going to happen and/or is given a script of what exactly to do.
You don't actually know how hard this game is to play.
Well, those particular moves were risky yeah, but, if you don't know the game, you don't know how the mechanics work yet, and that's more that just knowing which button is to sneak and which's to run. You don't know how close you can be to the big guy without being heard, you don't know how fast you or your enemy can run, if you can outrun it or if you need to break line of sight and sneak if that's even possible. And then there's the responsiveness of the controls, you don't know how easy or hard it is to move this character around in this world. You don't know anything about this unless you play and try different things and maybe fail a few times. And also, you don't know the state of person that recorded was when playing, maybe he/she was distracted by all the noise and creaziness of the event, you don't know, maybe they had limited time to record and they were in a hurry, wich is totally understandable given the quantity of games they need to cover. So yeah, you know, give it a little more thought, there's more stuff into the ecuation you guys are probably not thinking about.

The beginning song reminds me of "La redécouverte" from the Amelie Movie Soundtrack.
The shoes reminded me also of the Pale Man in "Pan's Labyrinth". He ate the children and leave only their shoes.

I hope they polish up some of the jumping. It kinda looked like it was hard to know exactly where you were in order to jump and grab the right stuff (ledges, the handle for the trap door). I wonder if there was a way to put both the meat pieces on door at once cutting down some of the tedium.
The chief was so creepy, when he stopped to cough it gave me nostalgia and terror at the same time, very much like a scary kids movie.

Stuff in some games scares the hell out of me. I'm not trying to come across as a big, macho dude. I just don't see why odd looking humanoids is considered creepy. Hell, there's worse stuff in any Henry Selick movie.
The atmosphere doesn't do anything for me cause it's just a tiny dude running around a kitchen. The shoes are a decent attempt, but, meh. They haven't given me a reason to care that they're eating people.

Unfortunately, many gamers will miss innovative projects like this, Ori and tbf, Unravel, Limbo or Inside because of the lack of a high budget promotion and fancy graphics. So they keep continiung purchasing the same triple-A blockbuster shooter like every year...

I don't know how but they really manage to capture the pseudo-stop motion style perfectly for this.

Y'know I don't think the lack of gore is exactly the problem here... for the faster deaths it'd be great yes, imagine a great mechanical jaw closing over Yellow Hood in the shoe room, engulfed without a trace but for a sudden fresh trickle of blood from between the cold steel teeth.
But for things like getting caught by the chef, I feel there just needs to be a bit more telegraphing so you know what to anticipate with dread as the screen blacks out. To be helpless and even able to control your character's struggling as you get carried over to an ominous pot, fading to black as he reaches a hand toward the lid and left with a sightless thud of impact, then the heavy, claustrophobic clank of the lid shutting... that's how you get a person invested and immersed in the gameplay.
That little touch of interactivity draws the player in, makes them feel invested in the character because they don't just lose control when the big baddy grabs hold, they're stuck in this entity's perspective all the way to the bitter end. And they don't need to know whether it's possible to escape, that's the point and beauty of putting work into immersion. Then, proper pacing for the adrenaline-calling moment of being caught and powerless forces the player in further, sending their nerves higher as the baddy pauses before the inevitable end, all to culminate in the sickening emotional impact of the well timed finish. Partial sensory deprivation brings it to the next level, as the mind is very active and dislikes gaps. Basically, leaving the sense of sound while taking sight-- possibly the biggest sense humans care about-- creates a prompt for the poor player's imagination to fill in the details of what's being done. These guys sem like they know their way around good sound design already, so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for them.
I'm actually not a huge fan of horror games-- I prefer to scare people over being scared myself, heheh. But I always appreciate good work, and this game is looking excellent. Hopefully its promise will culminate into something fitting of the potential seen here!
