I don't, cold war is the first game I thoroughly enjoyed zombies, and I somewhat enjoyed it in world at war just because that was my frist time even playing zombies

It really feels like that Treyarch is forced to do Zombies for someone else title and they are keeping everything for zombies to their upcoming title (as they should). MW3 zombies is basicaly Warzone map + Cold War zombies assets.

@@andrewm3825 Yes, it’s their A Team working on it. The rest of Treyarch are working on COD 2024, hence, they’re incorporating most of the Zombies stuff into the MW Engine for testing purposes.
Man I love the early zombies maps. I really really think the whole cosmic horror direction would have been fine as it's own spin similar to how the OG Mob Of The Dead "felt" a bit more isolated in the story. I just really miss COD zombies being about people messing with an element that they didn't understand and dealing with the consequences. And I really miss it being more on the paranormal side instead of leaning so heavy into cosmic horror. I miss COD Zombies being creepy. I miss the subtlety.
But to speak my mind, it's challenging to craft fantasy out of elements that are difficult to comprehend. Moreover, if it's made too creepy, casual players might be hesitant to start and could be driven away. For a project team to grow, a substantial number of active players is essential, so these compromises are somewhat inevitable. Initially, because of the unfathomable puzzles in zombies, unless new or novice players are paired with experienced users, it's structured in a way that makes it hard for them to join. Even if it's made very creepy, I feel that wouldn't be a significant concern

There’s a reason Cod released the mod tools for BO3. They knew zombies would never be the same and wanted to give the community the power to keep classic zombies alive while they went off and tried some wild stuff with the zombies game mode.
MWII gave one of the maps in multiplayer a zombies skin for the haunting season, so they might have smaller maps, but want to show off the big map for now

Hoping this doesnt flop, but ill be greatly disappointed if the maps are just more military bases, the locations variety in BO2/3/4 was amazing imo, always enjoyed the fantasical side of Zombies & im worried that could be difficult to do since the Zombs story now ties in to the main COD story

Let's be honest, everyone is talking about the old days and I'm there like, the black ops cold war zombie replay ability is great with the upgrades between runs, and the outbreak, feeling like you can roam and do what ever you want is actually fun, I'm excited to see the actual open world one

I feel like if the company listens to everyone in the community who doesn't like change, then every game would be exactly the same, and then people would complain about it being exactly the same. Even though I am a little unsure about the open world COD Zombies concept, I'm gonna keep an open mind.
Tbh I gave them a chance in Cold War, vanguard, and modern warfare 2. The issue for me is I don’t like spending 70 dollars on a game that I don’t enjoy playing. The problem is at least for me it feels like their effort in the games have just gone down. What we loved was the long sessions with friends, now it'll be a warzone/dmz/zombies hybrid which could possibly get boring and stale because of the similarity to other modes. Looks like something that'll grow stale

A little disappointed that it's not traditional Zombies, but open world Zombies does sound like a lot of fun especially after playing Outbreak in BOCW.
I mean this is not a Treyarch game so why expecting Round Based Zombies

@@shelbedavisjr.3025statistically, at cold war's peak there were just as many people playing round based as there were playing outbreak. so it didn't actually flop, you just didn't like it. but this will still probably be worse
Hopefully they support it like for cold war zombies because it's gonna need a lot of love to be the game we all gonna want
there's not a game "we all want" Some people are extatic to have a PVE br map, some people aren't, there's no golden formula to make everyone happy

Let's be honest, everyone is talking about the old days and I'm there like, the black ops cold war zombie replay ability is great with the upgrades between runs, and the outbreak, feeling like you can roam and do what ever you want is actually fun, I'm excited to see the actual open world one

@jwhi419 I mean you are still shooting zombies and there's fire base and the other, I just mean, what's the point of copy pasting the same game over and over again just to get more money then trying new things ? The outbreak is great for casual players but you can also rush it to get the difficulty higher up, everyone have their own taste, if they're doing an open world zombie game with some tarkov aspect to it, it will be interesting you can't ignore that fact
While I understand this may not be what the COD community wanted, let's have an open mind and give this a chance. I feel like if the company listens to everyone in the community who doesn't like change, then every game would be exactly the same, and then people would complain about it being exactly the same. Even though I am a little unsure about the open world COD Zombies concept, I'm gonna keep an open mind.
Tbh I gave them a chance in Cold War, vanguard, and modern warfare 2. The issue for me is I don’t like spending 70 dollars on a game that I don’t enjoy playing. The problem is at least for me it feels like their effort in the games have just gone down. Now I understand not everyone is gonna agree but at the end of the day that’s why I’ve given up on the newer cods
@@badbolt1a854 I mean that's fine, if you prefer other games, more power to you. I will agree that Cold War could have been better and I didn't really play Vanguard. The MW3 beta so far is pretty fun in my opinion and it's now open for everyone until the 16th if you want to try it.
My only concern is what’s the plan for zombies after release, when season 2 releases will we have a new zombies map or will we just be stuck with this one map for multiple season?
Will it have splitscreen ?
Hopefully down the road we will have round based on mw3 zombies!

I hope they go full on eildritch horror with this, cause multiple scenes in this trailer have that feel to them. Especially that monster at the end, like in BO3s final map was eildritch horror and was so cool
They’re just copy and pasting elements from old games but you can tell this mode is as soulless as the last few cods. Dont get your hopes up.

What we loved was the long sessions with friends, now it'll be a warzone/dmz/zombies hybrid which could possibly get boring and stale because of the similarity to other modes. Looks like something that'll grow stale
i hope activision listens to us for the first time to bring back round based zombies. i think that litteraly everyone likes round based zombies more than just a copy of breakout zombies from CoD cold war.
