Continue postando. Grande abraço!!!
Great job Mr.Dan I am stoked to see you dive that deep. It was a very good way to work quickly with the power head. I saw another video that you posted about the same depth but you had some issues with that predator swimming around. Great video I hope you are safe. God bless you and Mr.Rick.
Nice Carbo! I’d hate to see what the deco time was. Thank God for power heads. I’d hate to try to wrestle that monster at 300’. Thanks for another great video.
He sets in off Hudson most times he says , but the boat is on a trailer so anywhere off the west coast of Florida . His Commercial License is for the Gulf of Mexico , and most times he goes over 100 miles off-shore to get his fish .
He said once about a different dive he took around 300 feet that it cost him about $6 - $7 worth of Tri-mix to make one that deep . The grouper that he gets pays him around $5 - $6 a pound , and so even a 20 pound grouper would give him $100 minimum . You never know what will be there until you go , and sometimes there isn't squat worth taking . Other times you wish you had brought some friends along with you because most of the bigger ones will leave the area for awhile once the shooting starts .
He has said before that after any dive they make , no matter how far down , that the diver will always spend at least 2 - 3 hours with other divers taking their rotation turns before the same diver will go back down somewhere for another dive .
They all have their area they will not let a threat get any closer before they move away . I suspect that since they mentioned this place was famous for having larger blacks that the diver chose to pass on that fish for fear he would have scared away anything really big if he had shot that 1st fish .
If I remember correctly, Dan and his crew dive a heliox mix so the effects of narcosis wouldn’t be as pronounced as diving regular air. Probably switch to nitrox mixes as they ascend to help blow off the helium and any nitrogen.
Dan like I said Sir, when I grow up I want to be just like you sir. Great stuff as usual.
Man I needed this vid thanks. Haven’t tasted salt water in 2 years.

Good catch bro .
That was a big one. Over 100? Nice fish taken by a pro, very clean. Good work
Nice one. Looked like another big one under the ledge where he first saw it.
Nice adventure
👍
Dang that’s deep, where are you diving? I suspect the GOM, if so where do you generally go out of?

Are these deep dives worth it financially? As always, excellent video!

When you do these deep dives. What is your surface time after a 300ft drop. It appears bottom time was approximately 5 minutes

I love your video’s, man🤙🏻 what kind of speargun do you use and or where can I buy one?
I’ve asked before and he says they are custom made by himself
@@simeoncoleman8629 I’m willing to pay 💰
Those big ones didn't get that way by being dumb. That first one had you figured out pronto 👍🏻

Rite on time
What mix were you breathing?
Would you make and sell one of your custom spearguns?
Commercial diver out of Port Canaveral 25 years
How's the meat on a big Carbo like that?
On spearfish dives down to 300" how does narcosis effect you? How do you physically train for such a dive? Rspect!
Physically it’s no different than regular dives. The knowledge is what is important. Correct air mix, proper deco stops are key.
If I remember correctly, Dan and his crew dive a heliox mix so the effects of narcosis wouldn’t be as pronounced as diving regular air. Probably switch to nitrox mixes as they ascend to help blow off the helium and any nitrogen.
@@teejay91b yes I’ve seen a few videos where they switch off during ascent.
✔✔🐟🐟❤❤🍷🍷
Why did you load the gun half way up the water column? see a tax man? kinda strange I thought to load a band there... bigun.
