Because it's Jay-Z... like he tried to explain, he was completely star struck, he idolizes Jay-Z and just wanted to do a track with him and wasn't really thinking about it. But after their conversation about London and Jay-Z asking him about it, he snapped out of it and saw that it wasn't right for him even though it was an opportunity to work with his idol. He chose to keep it real in stead of forcing this collaboration that actually didn't make any sense and that's a very VERY brave move, that is the definition of keeping it real.
