I was marching in the parade today as a civil air patrol holding a picture of the veterans and I will never forget those veterans who fought for are freedom

I was in the parade as a photographer for civil air patrol, had one of the best times of my life meeting the other cadets from different squadrons, cant wait to do the parade next year 🫡

I marched in the parade with the Brooklyn College Student Veteran's Organization. You can see me at the front of our group, wearing the bright blue cap. I had been informed about a Memorial Day trip that our college was doing to Washington D.C., and having never been there, I wanted to take the opportunity. I got to meet some new people over the course of the trip, and little did I know that they would pick me, despite my not being a part of VSO, to hold their sign at the front of our group in the parade!

I am Chinese and I have full respect for this festival and this parade. I am here just to point out an interesting point: during World War II, the Republic of China did not include Taiwan; at that time, Taiwan was occupied by Japan, and the US military once planned to bomb it.
