I feel you. You have to make yourself comfortable. I remember having that squeezed out, tight feeling when I rounded up to 100 decks. I suggest putting away all your decks for a couple of months. Keep 4 or 5 decks out, you know you need. Your 2 decks you are decluttering are favorites. I have let go of decks that I loved, and it's fine, I am not out there trying to replace them... but decluttering is a mood. I have like 250 right now. I am feeling a bit 'time out' with them. I just have a lot of stuff.
Decluttering is definitely a mood. I am feeling good about what I have decluttered so far, it's freeing, and helps me see that I don't actually need those decks. I've been taking a serious look at decks I don't pull out often because I do have a select few I work with regularly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😊
I definitely agree with you about the frustration when creators make a second edition. I also have Tarot of Aphrodite and I would love the second because of the better improvements but I don't want to be wasteful and have a second when I already have the first. I haven't used the deck I have yet enough as well.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! It is frustrating for the customer who bought the first edition, only to feel like they have to shell out more money for the new and improved second. Especially when they are released so close together. There should start being some sort of discount for people who bought the first edition imo. I'll just sell my first edition once the second comes in but likely at a loss for what I paid for it.

I am the same way. If I have too many decks I tend to not use them. Feel overwhelmed. I'm currently at 40 decks and I need to sell or trade some too.
I managed to bring my collection down to 60 and am feeling better but still have more preorders coming in so I will need to keep decluttering. It's a constant work in progress, but I enjoy it. Thanks for watching 😊

I’m a new sub so I haven’t watched a whole lot of your videos yet, and I’m sure you’ve heard of these but if you like art decks, do you have Noisy Museum Tarot? I want that deck so bad but I’m trying to behave, lol. Of course there’s Rackham & Dulac, Dali etc.

I recently got the spirit keepers because I liked the idea of getting and studying the two giant books and I'm a nerd that misses being in school.....got overwhelmed and still haven't touched them haha. The idea of getting assigned to a faction (in the second printing of revalation) also got to my inner "deciding which hogwarts house you'd be in" self.
I much, much prefer the art of the wild child over the gentle tarot....that 7 of fire hedgehog

Also, I've finally been convinced to get children of litha instead of just staring at the art longingly and they had slightly damaged boxes for $10 off so I finally committed!
I enjoyed my little study I did with SKT but that was pretty much all that deck was to me...a study deck. So my time with it was over, basically. It's still a great deck though.
I like the art in both Gentle Tarot and Wild Child, definitely prefer Wild Child in terms of readability. I'm finding that I can appreciate art without owning the deck lol. Love Children of Litha, and I'm so excited for Xia's future decks in the series. Love a good deal too which she does pretty regularly. Thanks so much for watching 🥰
I'm not much for decluttering personally just because we change our minds in the future. I just don't put the pressure on myself. It's amazing how when I do hashtags and such and end up going back through decks I haven't used in awhile I re fall in love with them....LOL I have passed on about 40 or so decks, and only actually have rethought a few of them, so that isn't that bad. I was going to back the 2nd edition of the Tarot of Aphrodite and cancelled, but I might still back it, I'm really undecided...LOL See what I mean...LOL Thank you for sharing sweet lady. 💖
I have never been much of a declutterer until recently where I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with my collection. I am going to sell my first edition of Aphrodite so long as when the 2nd comes in the artwork is indeed bigger. Thank you so much for watching 💖

The borders are SOOO big on tarot of Aphrodite and I’m so so bummed about 2nd edition coming out soooo soon after the 1st. Like on the one hand, great for the creator, on the other hand I just got the 1st edition why would I get the second one? I still haven’t even really used the first even though I do love it.
I agree. I ended backing out of the 2nd edition and kept my 1st. I still haven't used it much either. Maybe they'll do more editions in the future...and if they did, then I'd really regret getting the 2nd edition.

Do you mean what I said about them, or second editions in general? I am not opposed to second editions but I personally don't love feeling like I have to buy the same deck twice...I still do it though 😂🤷♀️

I want the Blood Moon so badly and it’s almost impossible to find. Im on her mailing list and hoping she does another printing.
I just want to politely let you know that Sam Guay uses they/them pronouns. Last I heard from their mailing list is that they've inquired to a printer about a second printing but won't know anything until the spring of 2024. 🤷♀️ I am hoping the next edition is borderless.

Because there are so many deck creators producing/publishing so many different types of decks, it’s flooding the market which is good & not so good. The good is many decks, especially indie ones) do have so much soul, are passion projects which started as a dream and became a reality, then there are MM which I’m not invalidating as a whole, however publishers know how to sell, they know a semi decent marketing strategy of another star seed type deck & the targeted demographic equals $$. I’m not knocking mass market because there are so many that I love, use daily and would recommend, however there just seems to be an over saturation & therefore it’s harder to weed out ones that don’t work for us (and pricier, lol.)
There’s a deck that’s literally blank. Sorry but no, lol. Different aesthetic preferences and what resonates & works, and subjective opinions is one thing however I draw the line there. Lol
I do love the variety though, each deck I own has their own personality, guidance, different connections, purposes, etc and so having a well rounded collection is important to me (even though I do admit I’m a bit extra in that I have this Pokémon mentality and not only do I have categories but sub categories that branch off into even more specific groupings.) The same decks can absolutely have differing personalities and I love that, my bank account & credit cards don’t but oh well. Lol)
I went on a tangent and it had barely anything to do with this topic lol. I’m sick so there’s my just cause for this novella long ramble.
The point I was trying to make was about decluttering decks which is pretty common now as it’s just hard to find that diamond due to the enormity of the divination market. I used to hoard and even I have started re-homing.

Lol no you're fine! I totally agree with everything you mentioned. I have a lot more indie decks for that exact reason...a lot of mass market decks just fall flat to me. You can tell they're rushed. There's definitely an oversaturation of both indie and mass market decks. Seems like anything and everything exists in the form of a tarot deck lol.
I saw that blank deck 🤣 that's hilarious. I'm so shocked someone would even publish that.
I do the same thing with categories. I'm very meticulous in categorizing my decks. If something doesn't fit into a category it's probably going to go. But then in certain categories I just want to collect alllll the decks (animal decks, for example, are a huge weakness of mine).
I think that diamond doesn't exist. There will always be something new that comes along that's shinier and better, especially with how decks are just being churned out these days.
I've looked at both the Blood Moon and Lubanko wondering if I need both or if I should declutter either. I have yet to work with these to any extent but I can't bring myself to get rid of them
I actually just sold my Lubanko today. The artwork just doesn't resonate with me like I hoped. I am also always using the Blood Moon instead of Lubanko. 🤷♀️

I would really love you to do a deep dive into with the blood moon tarot... Or even do a complete walk through with what you feel when you look at each card. As I have it and I get nothing at all in most cards. But I so want to feel something when I look at it. It would be so helpful to see how others dive into this deck as I really do want a connection with it. Would you even consider doing that. Just that you said you love it so much.
