I have a 8 yrs old female. When you've had a eurasier its very difficult to concider other breeds, they are so special. They are 80% doglike and 20% catlike😆😆Very strange beasts.. extremly intelligent, caring, knows what is expensive food and treats, don't eat others. You can really see they are using their intelligence. And yes, they can be a handful. But it is the right dog(?😆) for me..

Do you find that he sheds a lot? Like are you prone to having hair all around the house?

That cat like bit comes from the chowchow genes. My chow girl was very prissy around water and slept a lot.

@@riverjbleu Eurasiers do shed frequently. there may be some of the fur hair around the house from time to time, though i wouldn't say it is a bad thing.

@@Az-pool Oh I got my little Eurasier puppy… and answered my own question. Yes, they do shed quite frequently 🥲

My eurasers coat sheds constantly and moults once a year. He needs brushing once or twice a week.
He is extremely smart and wants to please. You can see him try and guess your next move. So incredibly smart and a little stubborn at times.

I have a three year old eurasier and she is the apple of my eye! I often tell people that if they want a dog that looks sporty but you don't have a very sporty lifestyle a eurasier is perfect. My girl tags along on looong hikes as well as movie nights in the couch. Such a perfect mix of everything.

L'Eurasier est un chien à part. Ma première nous quitté voici 1 an.

I met one in France last month. She looked very like my chowchow, except her long pink tongue. She was also super friendly in the outdoor setting and I was a stranger to her.

I've been considering this breed as my first dog ever for almost 2 years now.. I'm still not ready though. I want to take that step once with a stable employment AND a steady housing, which would all come no later that in 2023 let's hope.
Though, I am totally single and plan to get a work, which means I probably won't be at home that much... Is it "easy" to train your puppy to stay alone ? And even if trained, will he be able to still be happy when alone during the working days ?
I don't know a lot about dogs yet, unfortunately, as I grew in a house with no pet at all, I wouldn't want to get a dog that I can't keep happy... I'd rather give up my dream of having a floof. Any clue ? ^^'

Is puppy daycare an option for you? My keeshond doesn't mind if noone is home but he's an older dog. I think if you give him things to do while you're at work will make him not mind being alone (like dog puzzles and stuff).

    • @Lhey_

@@wonderbink8409 I'm not sure I'll find a whole lot of puppy daycare options in the countryside tbh, but the puzzles and stuff might be super interesting 🤔
Though, I believe dogs are like humans regarding puzzles and toys, they might have their preferences and all. Any advice on how to find the perfect puzzleS n toyS for the puppy ? And how do you realize it is the good one ? 🥺

    • @wonderbink8409
      @wonderbink8409 Před 2 lety +5

@@Lhey_ I think its mostly trial and error - most dog puzzles are food puzzles like a Kong. I know there are some gadgets that let you speak to your dog through audio/video and dispenses treats if you want to check up on your dog throughout the day (although I've never used one but they seem neat I guess).
I reckon a walk before work (so your dog can let out some energy and go to the bathroom) and a walk after dinner would be enough after the puppy stage. One tip I can give for your future pup is don't make a big fuss when you're leaving for work or when you're coming home. If you make a big deal about leaving/coming home they could develop separation anxiety!
