Yes it is,I have travelled by father of Poorva was Air conditioned express( english) batanukul express (hindi) Shitatop niyontrito express ( bengali) Written board inthe last & first compartment of the train in mid 60's.hauling by WP loco in 22 hrs to Ndls ,Then introduction of Howrah Rajdhani.poorva borns.& Withdrawal of A/C Express.moreover from the beginning this train is the top prioritiy train in Eastern railway.

Long back it was called Air-conditioned express. All coaches were air conditioned at that time. It was like second Rajdhani.
