Dragon breath sequence was so sick, best action I've ever seen.

@@KT559 Charlie and sneako are both soft beta bois trying to act tough like Obama another beta dude bragging about all the dronestrikes he has done.
Sure, but a mag is just a clip with walls :P
😭literally my first thought
Fuk Sneako!

"Damn, john really has infinite stamina and endurance"
He has focus, commitment, and sheer will
Ufc fighters at the top has crazy stamina
Except he died.... lol
and most of the time, bullets too
The belt scene was taken from Escrima martial arts, wherein a whip(belt) would annoy/hit your opponent, making them more susceptible to grabs/hooks, due to their annoyed state. This was also seen in medieval times, wherein annoyance tactics where used due to how well they worked. Essentially, taunting always works.
Do you have examples of medieval "annoyance tactics"?
Just do the research, plenty guys on youtube from the HEMA community go into the infamous pommel throw technique. That is all. Don't @ me.
Idk about medievl but it was a tactic we would use in wrestling where we would annoy the opponent by tapping them on the head and then when they react take down
So Monty Python was right, LOL.
The thing that is great about John Wick is the amount of punishment he takes. A friend of mine watched all the John Wick movies recently and he went with me to John Wick 4. My friend made the comment later that many times other assassin's could have killed John Wick. He also told me that some of the assassins in 4 seemed almost better than John Wick. Too which my reply was simple... John Wick is worn out. By the time chapter 4 hits, John has been beaten, shot, stabbed, and all sorts of other injuries. He has also been fighting non stop throughout most of chapter 4 and most of the other movies. And yet despite this, he still keeps winning. Clearly John is worn out and not operating at peak performance, yet a weakened and injured John Wick is still the best.
Any other assassin's that seem close to him in performance, are only close because he is weakened.
Just imagine what a well rested and uninjured John Wick could do.
That my friend, is answered when he did the impossible task given by Viggo. Buried bodies that night
@@reven06 true, but even the Baba Yaga himself couldn't do it without some form of help.
@@reven06 also answered in Chapter 2 with full Table support going into Italy. Mows down an army!
This is sort of where you have to suspend your disbelief. For me it’s easy to do because the action is so entertaining.
The first three movies is just like two weeks he's consistently fighting and getting shot for two weeks straight
The ending of the library fight was not only badass for the action, but now John Wick has not only killed people with a pencil, he's killed someone with a book.
Guess you caould say that we could finally write it down
He also killed several guys with headshots via horses
Let’s not forget in 4 when he killed someone with a gun. Not shooting a bullet, taking the gun apart and shivving the dude. Badass
as they say, knowledge is power
"In real life, if a knife is involved, you're gonna get stabbed" 😂
And "You should run" 😂
The thing is, John Wick does get stabbed, several times and in the fight from John Wick 3 they showed he gets stabbed right at the start and it nicks an artery.
Real talk. You only wont if your attacker is just fkin around or trying to scare you
real talk. you are more likely to get bitten by a shark or a croc than americans stabbing you. americans are more likely to shoot you tho, than stabbing you.
Which also means don’t draw a knife because you could also be stabbed
0:50 a wise man once said "these here are called mags"
Charlie would be very disappointed.
Keanu Reeves is a hard-working and generous actor who always strives to deliver the best performance possible.
A lot of the fighting in John Wick, if it's assassin vs assassin or people who know who John Wick is, seem to always fight with respect. I'm guessing it's so if they did happen to win against him, they can brag and say they beat John Wick
it was in the script
The John wick franchise sure know to bring action into insanity with all the gunfight and martial arts be the sickest combo.
John wick chapter 4 -10/10
Staircase fight scenes are insane
Climax marathon action scenes are just 🔥🔥🔥
Dragon breathe shot gun scenes are Insane and unique
Hotline Miami
@@KristianNikolla8 Apparently it was inspired by a game called Hong Kong Massacre, but it definitely evokes Hotline Miami too for sure
Regarding the comment during the subway knife fighting: "if you can you should run" - well an Italian fencing master of the 15th century - Fiore dei Liberi once have written: "there is only one way you stay unharmed in a dagger fight..... do not come into a dagger fight."
thats common sense
0:48 "its starts with him changing his clip". uh oh, charlie is gonna destroy this man
Using a belt, scarf, sling etc. in a fight is actually something thaugt in FFA (Fillipino fighting Arts) its not tied to both arms, its wrapped around one wrist and the other just grabs it so you can release it instantly when you need to.
yeah this dudes limited in his knowledge and a crappy mma fighter.
Its a Norwegian that doesn't know filipino martial arts not haven't tasted pain from them. Other CQC personnel have said it can be done
@haribonph He also calls magazines clips despite being in the military and doesn't know that CQC often involves using grappling to pin/disable the threat before finishing the job with your gun/knife.
4:13 I'm guessing that since they're both professional assassins, they both expect each other to have a knife so there's not much surprise to be gained.
Someone else pointed it out that most skilled or named assassin's seem to go in with a courteous approach, so if they do win it's more a brag that they beat John Wick in a direct fight than trying an Amish approach
They also have to let the audience know the stakes of the fight. Suddenly knives! seems like a cop out if there was no warning.
this guy didn't even watch the full scene, he's saying John Wick should've reached for his gun in a scene where seconds ago he ran out of ammo and threw away his gun... another nice one ign.
He has a backup gun that he only draws after being thrown onto the dance floor.
Did you watch the whole scene? He draws another pistol at the end of it...
Every fighting expert, "just run away."
Love how this guy can keep in mind that THIS IS A MOVIE! Especially in the subway scene with the knives being shown, he didn't just say "wtf" and understood that the movie is very weird in a way with the "gentlemen" aspect of everything
John Wick doesn't pull his gun. The gun pulls out John Wick.
Very well analyzed.
The ending in John Wick 4 though, DAMN!!
Winston's final words....
Every action scenes from this series go to show how and why John wick is babayaga, the legend. how adeptive he is, give him time to think even a min and he will overcome anything that stand in his way.
"If you're in a home invasion against 6, 7, 8 guys, you need to be very highly skilled to deal with that."
Groundbreaking commentary.
He says that cause he's British. In the US you just need to be well armed and know your home. There's so many real world cases where a single home defender with something like an AR15, or even just a pistol, holds off, and/or puts down multiple attackers/home invaders.
@@BigBear-- he's British? Man you Americans are so cultured.
@@ShaLLoWBaYzerg Judging by the accent and that it said he's from the UK. If not British, is he Chinese then? Indian? Mexican? 🙄

0:49 "Its called a magazine"
Makes sense what hes saying…with his speed and efficiency, if John Wick started fights with efficient immediate shooting or hiding his knife draw, his opponents would be dead or permanently incapacitated. Then the movie would be less exciting
IGN should have made him watch all the 3 movies before analysing. More context would have helped with his criticism.
watching the movies or not doesn't matter he is stating facts you don't need to meat ride the movies
@@Larrylarrs Except contexts helps him understand moron. Countless times he was confused as to why they were doing some of the things they were doing and context would have helped.
How so? He's commenting on the fight scenes, not the lore
@@LD1E60 He's only watched some parts of different fight scenes. Watching the whole thing might have given him more context to why he made certain decisions during the fights.
@@LD1E60 For example his commentary about John and Cassian showing each other they have knives in the subway fight would be better if he had seen the film and understood that they two of them have been in a near constant lethal battle for days, from Rome to NY. And just prior to this fight scene they had been shooting at each other in the subway station. Neither is surprised that the other is there or armed.
Its not a clip… Its a mag

Cassian was a Friend of John Wick, maybe that's why they show the knifes.
Dude said "clip", expert status immediately denied.

Using a belt to defend against a knife is actually taught in some martial arts. The idea is to strike at the arm holding the knife and try to either break the arm or get them to drop the knife.
Another technique that used to be taught was to use your loincloth to defend against a knife and it was said that if you had wet yourself beforehand it would be more effective.
You should watch the movies, the entire first movie is about a man getting revenge against the gang that killed his puppy and stole his car. greatest story ever told. from there it only gets better. wonderful analysis on the fight scenes.
tbf john wick when they filmed it had military advisors who also had CQC training, so its not unrealistic what john wick does but just from a different trainer then the person giving the interview in this video
In Summation: "Its John Wick and he gets the job done Anyway"😂
So is it a magazine or a clip? Like definitely one or definitely the other?
What about the leather belt wrapped around your arm like punisher did in season 2 bathroom fight scene. Would that offer any protection?
not from your pants falling down.
Well analysed and expertly thought out. However, John has his lapses in JW1 and JW2. In other ones, he has improved greatly in his hand-to-hand combat.
Some scenes with knives aren't advisable to go with if it is a real life scenario. If not, death is knocking.
All in all, John Wick is wicked and did a great job for many of his fans and lovers.
how do you know?
well if someone comes at you with a knife you dont try anything just stand there and get stabbed?

The answer to most of this is “because he’s John Wick”
Andrea's is great, he's done some great rock climbing videos with Magnus Mitbo
The "expert's" fight record:
2 wins and 2 losses, no official ring fights since 2018 and no actual military service that can be easily found w/ a quick Google search.

Nightclub scene fighter is the agent from matrix 2 guy on the lorry fighting Morpheus
Are you sure? Cool !
Yeah Daniel Bernhardt is a veteran stuntman.
Also in mortal combat tv show back in the day
The Library Fight in JW3 is one of the best deaths, but is probably the worst fight in the franchise. Boban was basically a punching bag in that scene
*Charlie Knocking on the door, speaks with a haunting voice* It's called... A Magazine.
taking a gun from Magnus midtbo? Damn
Lol, grabbing the flash hider during a disarm in your intro. That trigger gets pulled and you are losing that hand to muzzle blast.

less flashy.. Okay. So John Wick Walks into a Room. Everyone just collapses.

"Dont use a belt against a knife"
*Frank Castle enters the chat
the entire point of this is he is preternatural.... the best in the world at his "craft" dissecting it based on ordinary skill sets is pointless. just like his injuries not effecting his abilities... it's obviously about a superhuman skill set and sheer will.
It would be interesting to see him comment on the fight scenes in Jason Bourne and Taken.

Never watched JW movie before.. This dude lives under some heavy rocks.
Changing his clip?
How about punisher season 2 belt vs knife in the bathroom fight?
John Wick shoots the bad guys in the head and stomps their groin to make sure the bad guys are really dead.
My only issue with the new John Wick was that the final staircase fight had people just get flipped then fall down the stairs and boom they're dead or knocked out when realistically they would most likely be fine enough to get up and go after him again.
Mine was the fact that those same people were nowhere to be seen when John Wick gets knocked down the staircase 😂
I'm 90% sure he double tapped all of them

It is cool to hear about actual combat experts talking about stuff like this, but lets be honest, its all about entertainment and not realism in movies.
John Wick 4 is a awesome movie.
It's kinda annoying seeing people comment action scene between the individuals because the context it's very important, they are assassin's they have codes and so on.
So the end of the library fight, John Wick uses one hand to hold his opponents head and another to slam his neck down onto the book. But there's also a hand holding up the book in place so it doesn't fall. The man really just wanted John Wick to end him and held the book up for him.
Nope, after John's placed the guy's head on the book, he takes his hand off of the book and pushes the dude's head against it so that it won't fall over.
@@OptimalLeisure watch again. Theres a 3rd hand holding the book up lol
@@jessethehappyguy nice catch. That's pretty funny
It starts with him changing his Magazine, not Clip ...............
Some of the knife concealment things are kinda redundant when put in context.

about bringing a belt to a knife fight.. well, if it is belt or bare hands the belt would be better. running may not be an option for movies. it would be too weird.
