The phazon was confirmed to be a problem, but the Metroids must be critical for some reason as they seem to be facing unexpected x parasites.
It does look very good and consistent with prime 3 stylistically. For us returning players it will feel like we never left, pick up right where we left off
Im expecting it to be a launch title like they did with Breath of the Wild. Where there are two versions, you can get the one for the Switch or the one for the Switch 2. I'm super stoked for this game to come out!

I hope Prime 4 is more like Prime 1&2 and less like Prime 3. 1&2 were very atmospheric and experimental, while 3 felt very simplified and cinematic by comparison.

I hate the space pirate theme playing when they’re around. It was interesting the first couple of fights in prime 1, but after that it was annoying to have the music stop to accommodate that crap. And here we are, still stuck with that.
Anyone else who doesn´t like the orchestral fanfare? I am generally against orchestral soundtrack. Prime had an iconic soundfont. I hope they don´t deviate too far from it. It´s essential to the Prime feeling.

Yeah its clear as day now that the Switch 2 version needs a lot more than a simple upscale, that alone won't fix the dated visuals. Higher resolution textures, higher polygon count and more post processing effects like motion blur absolutely have to be implemented in the Switch 2 version or else this game will instantly get brushed aside next to PS5 and Series X games.

I think Digital Foundry pixel counted the original resolution of this at 900p, there were some dips, but largely it was 60FPS, personally I hope Nintendo targets the Switch 2 versions of games like this at 1440p 120Hz, instead of 4K 60FPS. Games like Sports, Mario Sports Games, MK9 IMO should all be 1440p 120Hz, include RT Reflections on Reflective surfaces, use DLSS 3.0 to AI upscale to native res of 4K. This looks great at 4K, but DLSS can do a great job of taking 1440p to 4K. Switch 2 should have more than a 10X uplift in portable mode, similar in Docked based on rumours of using the T239 NVidia chipset.
I played the Prime trilogy and it was fine but the 2D games are just on another level, the primes don't even compare. But compared to the rest of the 3D action adventure games on the market, they are alright.

The original footage wasn't in 1080p and that was for sure. As well informed, Retro Studio was begged to make a new Metroid Prime for the Wii U, but the system wasn't strong enough to make it run. During the creation of Metroid Prime 3, the game was suppose to be much bigger with an Open world, therefore, they couldn't add it this way because the Nintendo Wii never had the requirements for their project. From their experience with Nintendo, they waited for a strong enough system to build and release Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, yet, I believe this game will not be released on Nintendo Switch but rather say on a new console. This could explaine why we got 720p footage during the last Nintendo Direct. This new Metroid is too big to be played on the Switch. We might get MP2 and MP3 remastered before the release of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and also we might get this new Metroid Prime between Setpembre - October 2025 with the arrival of a new Nintendo console in summer 2025. Just to mention it, 2025 marks the biggest gamer year in history has there is so many good title that will be released in this year. Lets hope we all get the chance to put our hands on the futur masterpiece with ease as the enecomy is still struggling nowadays.
Retro was too busy with DK. Nintendo didn't even have Retro slated to work on another Prime game. Not even on the 3ds. Retro instead helped with Mariokart 7, DKC 3ds and tropical Freeze and was only put on Prime 4 when Namco completely missed the mark. I'm sorry but if the Wii could manage 3 and by extension the GC could manage 1 and 2 then a system 30x more powerful should have been able to manage a larger experience with nice graphics. The wii U was only CPU limited which means the game would have had to be structured in a way that had more hidden load times. If the wii U could produce a game like Xenoblade Chronicles X then it was totally possible.
I'm going to be honest I'm glad they finally gave us actual gameplay but I'm not that impressed with what I'm seeing I was expecting much better graphics and I'm sure they could have done much better but rushed it because of the delay but it is what it is. Metroid Prime Remastered looks way more realistic that this and I'm sure there's going to be a lot more who feel the same.
I still see jaggies and shimmering everywhere :^), there isnt much you can do, the game was running at sub 1080p res. Well, nothing i cant fix when it releases, im playing it at 6k internal res fosho.
