  • In this vlog, we're visiting El Jem (or El Djem), Tunisia. This city in the center of Tunisia is home to one of the largest and best-preserved Roman coliseums outside of Rome! I'll also show you what it's like to take a 'louage' -- a Tunisian minibus.

What is beautiful in Tunisia is the contract. from north to south, the landscape changes completely, from beach and forest to desert and sand dunes. To the north, Bizerte, Béja, Tabarka and Ain Drahem are fantastic, breathtaking landscapes. Further south, Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia with the catacombs, el Jem .... Further south, the desert and the Berber sites and the waterfalls of Chebika and Tamerza. Many thanks for you Doug. Every time I see your videos, I realize that Tunisia is more beautiful than it looks.

Here some answers to your questions:
*The guy heading next to you in the station is working based on commission every passenger he brings; he will get a commission on the sold ticket, it is weird I agree.
*The louage stops in a small town called Swassi which is in Sousse province, the name is quite similar to Sousse.
*The rooms in the colosseum are cages where animals and gladiators are kept,
It is great that you have been able to go to the top of the colosseum it was closed until recently. Also, the view with drones is amazing, happy you have been able to use it because is not allowed unless authorization; I suppose.
