Thank you! It was similar to my BMW 2012 Sports Wagon. In the past, I would purchase the bulbs from a local auto parts store. This time, bought 2 replacement bulbs from BMW for $15, replacing both lights, so I don't have to do that again for a long time. My right brake lights work once again!!

Two bulbs per side for rear brake lights AFAIK. The right outside/corner one is still not working. See 2:24, right corner is still dim.

And if it still doesnt work, what else could it be? I replaced the bulbs, the socket, and the wire plug and my tail lamp still does not work. My break and signal lights do work but not the regular lamp tail light. Any ideas?

@@shaneseneca4460nope. Fuses have been checked. I was told it might be a module, but I have no idea what that is or where I could troubleshoot that

I successfully replaced the brake lamp on my ‘09 328, and then the rear turn signal on the same side stopped working (*malfunctioned*) also.. I replaced that bulb also, with the same Sylvania long life bulbs as indicated for the brake lamp in this video, as they appear to be same bulbs, but the malfunction message continues to show/signal still doesn’t work. Do I need a different bulb?

Great video but you need to wear a plastic glove as your natural skin oil gets rubbed on the lamp and decreases its life.
So what exactly is the other bulb for on the side of the brake light? I noticed there is 2 on each side

0:08 Both of your bulbs were out, you only replaced one bulb. You don't need to reset light codes.................your problem is you still have one bulb that is blown and thus the CC-ID code is still active. Pause the video at 2:23 ............you can see the right side only has one bulb working...............the left has 2.....................Why anyone would replace only one bulb even if only one was out I have no idea

3 things gave it away it was filmed in California.
1- License Plate (easy)
2- Color and spaces between houses
3- Dumb face mask when no one is around. 🤣🤣🤣
Even with those laws many people didn't listen. Also the color and space has nothing to do with Cali.

Two things you did wrong: 1. Never put fingers on the bulb. The oils from your skin will burn out the bulb faster. 2. Whats with filming with a mask?
I honestly don’t care if he’s filming in a gorilla mask as long as I can hear and understand him, which I can. So who really cares what a person decides to wear if he clearly shows us what we wanted to know? Yeah masks are stupid, but he’s not wrong for having free will lol
