Hello Sabina. of Brazil. Glad you like. I cried together again. Even though I've watched it so many times, I love Dimash in that performance. Being the first time I sang. Passing so much emotion. The image that appears at the end if I'm not mistaken is of the heroine.
I don't know if I already indicated that song. "Daididau" is a traditional Kazak song that talks about the repression of its people. The lyrics are very sad and Dimash always sings them with great feeling. I will send you two links.

I have lost count of how many times I have seen this performance but still I was with you on this one crying like a baby it gets me everytime, for me Dimash's vocals and emotional expression on this song is just absolute perfection it's incredible to me that someone can be that good but it's real he is and how fortunate we are to witness it definitely one of my favorite Dimash performances, another favorite of mine is Daididau from The Singer episode 7 , there is a back story to this song also on Gloria Wu channel with English subs.

I've heard Dimash sing this song several times. It always moves me to tears because it is a true story and very sad. One can see that Dimash not only understands the story, but is very much trying to bring that emotion and sadness to the audience. Thanks. Dear Sabina, it was also the 1st time he sang in Mandarin for the audience. Please do this same thing for Daybreak to see the problem Dimash had to deal with. Then you can later or immediately react to the performance from Bastau where he didn't have the problem anymore. BUT the back story HAS to be seen first. OH yeah! I absolutely had a similar experience with this song. To be fair I've cried many times to this song. First time i saw it I cried and the interesting thing is that I didn't know the back story. I didn't know Dimash had to phonetically learn the song in a week and was nervous. I didn't even know the lyrics of the song as the version I was watching didn't have subtitles. I cried anyhow. But, it's cool because I can tell it was Dimash's voice and performance alone that brought forth those emotions. He has some sort of metaphysical power to fill his voice full of emotions and transfer them directly into your soul. And this isn't just a one off experience. He has done this multiple times, in multiple songs. to a multitude of people. Crazy amazing beautiful power he has!

Well said, Julie. I felt exactly the same when I first heard this. I played this song to my HS seniors and it blew them away as well. We didn't need the translation we knew we had heard something special.
I have watched several of your reactions to Dimash, and concluded that his singing is just showing how beautiful your soul is. All people with a beautiful soul will be deeply touched by Dimash singing, and it is perfectly OK to cry tears of joy for listening an angelic voice and virtuoso at performance - each of his song is the full fledged performance - it is not merely singing.
Some smarty panties are trying to show their own knowledge of musical trades (for many music is only trade) "Oh, now he hit that high note... oh, I like his deep tone, oh did you hear that belting, oh that was fry voice...oh"... bullshit!

This performance on the "Singer" ensured Dimash's standing of Magastar in China. There is a very special song called "Jasmine" and to be asked to sing it is considered to be a great honour. Dimash has been asked to perform it for the last 3 years to welcome in the Chinese New Year. For a foreigner to be asked to do this is unheard of. This is shows the incredibly high regard he is held in China, all these performances are on utube. Also since you loved "Autumn Strong" so much, you Must watch his performance in his Kiev concert (the same one as "Marigolds") last March, it's truly breathtaking. When watching these performances, just imagine what it would be like to be in the audience. 😊🏴👍

Yes. Actually they have also given celine dion the same honour of singing Jasmine. Many foreigners would not know but it is absolutely one of the highest honours to be asked to sing Jasmine. It will forever cement the singer's status as 'beloved' in China.
Gloria Wu does a great work by putting this "behind the story" videos and helps us to get a little more from the meaning of the whole performance, I love every performance he had on the Singer is amazing.

Your concept of this Dimash’s performance is perfectly exact on how he is giving life a story for us to be in the story.For me, DIMASH is the only singer who can make me feel the enormous emotions and understand the meaning of the song even just the first time hearing it.I felt same emotions with you the first time this was aired after the show’s episode.Dimash’s beautiful and clear voice made me focus intensely on his singing that enables me to absorb the story he is conveying all the time,which I never was before.
And yes.....watching the “MARIGOLDS” rendition during his concert to his mom and all the moms as Mother’s Day was approaching at that time was so beautifully powerful.....So, be prepared for a beautiful and healthy cry my friend.....

Когда я первый раз слушала эту песню- без перевода, без субтитров, без предыстории и вдруг у меня полились слезы-я нашла потом все об этой песне и об этой женщине- ее судьба потом сложилась нехорошо- в Японии публика ее не приняла, потому что у нее был сильный китайский акцент и вообще они ее считали чуть ли не предательницей- она же пела для китайцев- но я поняла главное- мне уже безразлично на каком языке поет Димаш- я чувствую все что он хочет сказать!

I've watched every episodes of I Am Singer 2017 competition and there were cream of great professional talents on the show both women & men. Dimash was 22 years old at the time, youngest competitor ever but he was way way more mature for his age. Dimash constantly over ruled his musical director to add more drums and other instruments to the arrangements. His Musical Director wanted to add more dramatics and flair into his performance but Dimash just stuck to what he knew best and should have won the show. It was taken out by Sandy Lam. All the contestants were seasoned and famous professionals, aged from 22 to 60s. Right from the get go Episode 1, the audience took ” Dimashi “ to their hearts. Chinese affectionately called him the "Our Imported Brother”.

This song has such beautiful lyrics and melody...and Dimash puts such emotion and feeling into every word...if this performance doesn't touch your heart, you must have a wooden heart. Again, this performance goes to the top of all Dimash performances...but, will probably change when I hear a new song by the Master. He IS that good, that every performance gets better somehow!!
