Here is a video that has been requested for YEARS...thank you all for your patience as I slowly work through a seemingly endless list of "to-do" videos! Also at 4:51, my 2-year-old daughter decided to have a jumping contest upstairs, so there's a second or two of shaking in the overhead cam. I wish all of you the best for another great week of practice!

Love you Josh, as my other half in a paralel life. You kept humble as me even with that amazing technique.

Do you have any tips for using a professional electric keyboard?
Since it has no strings you have to fully depress the keys and lift off the keys all the way to almost the resting point, this makes playing faster sloppy.

I like how I can always learn general things from your piece-specific videos. I am not working on this piece and probably will not in the future, but this video was still useful to me. Did she win the contest? :)

Doesn't sound like this when I play it...big surprise. I didn't realize the tempo was as fast as it is. Really been missing the mark on that dynamic.

Hi Josh, I just began working on this piece this week. Love the videos! Thanks for the tip on the triplet. Yeah, I was doing it wrong. Not sure I'll ever be able to play it as fast as you!

Josh, seriously, we gotta stop meeting like this. Last time you made a how to keep motivated video when I was feeling down about piano and now you're making a tutorial on a piece I need to learn by tomorrow so my teacher won't chew me out.

Hey Josh! I have an interesting question. I am a pianist and lately i travel a lot and sometimes i almost can't practice on the piano. The question is do you know any good exercises for the fingers without piano? Thank you

Can you talk about the “touching “ of playing Bach’s music as I know a lot of Baroque’s pieces must be played “DETACHED”? In this video, you play legato rather than detach. Can you talk about this topic? Thank you!

Dear Josh. You are a very talented performer and musician, thank you for your video. However, I am wondering, why do you perform it so fast? I was always taught (Russian and American piano performance and pedagogy school) that Baroque Menuet is a dance that was performed in a huge ball dresses, hairstyles of these performers (noble people) couldn't allow moving in too fast tempos and, especially, jump. Also, due to the lifestyle of baroque era people, they didn't have so many observations of fast tempos in everyday life, ...they used horses as the fastest way to move... compare to us with planes, race cars, trains, and etc. Sometimes I hear fast performances of this piece and other baroque Menuets, and I am getting very curious about such interpretations...

Josh, can you help me remember one of your previous videos? I can't seem to find it. But in the video, you were talking about the importance of learning chords, and I think you said something like: "Maybe it will take you 6 months, but it will pay a lifetime of dividends". Then you recommended a book of complete chords. I want to perhaps buy that book, but I don't know the title because I don't remember what the title of that video is!! It was a while ago that I watched it.

frank yang I can fairly comfortable reach a 10th, but can do an 11th on the edge of the keys

Josh I love your videos so much, but this is so careless!! You’re paying virtually no mind to the indicated fingering which the Urtext includes and are not alternating fingers on measures 5/6 for example when you specifically mention in measure 2 how important it is haha. Yikes!!
