    One of the absolute best and original bands of the era. I still spin both LPs to this day. Rare live performance here in awesome sound and visual quality. Wow, thanks so much!

      You're right. The riff is fantastic. I only heard this in an 80s doc on BBC 2 and I just had to track it down, brilliant stuff.

    I GOT INTO PUNK IN 78 --79 AND I'M STILL A PUNK TODAY 😁 AS THEY SAY IN IT 4 LIFE..??? AM NOW 52 YRS OLD .... ANYHOOS I LOVE THIS BAND AND THIS SONG ( SET UP ) I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE THEM PLAY IN EXETER UNIVERSITY IN 1981 ( MY AUNTY SNEEKED ME IN...!! ) AS I WAS 12YRS OLD AND THEY WERE AWESOME I'D LOVE TO SEE THEM REFORM AND PLAY AGAIN 😁😎☮️☯️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴🏴💣💣💣💥💥🔥🔥

    I played this at my mom's house the other day and she had a whole flash back to having this on tape in the 80's, i always wanted to connect over music with my mom, it just took me years to get deep enough into the real shit!

    saw them twice Aston Uni and a gig in Ludlow. What a wonderful band better live and were brilliant on record. Please come and do a gig in Exeter

    Brilliant band. They also played Armagh on this live performance despite being asked not to. Last thing they did for the BBC apparently

      I remember that. Saw them twice, one time was somewhere in Soho, 100 club I think. 80/81. I googled twice, year ago, 2 years ago, found lots of pics, but nothing came up for youtube. Now I was watching a The Slits video and noticed this in the related/suggested list.

    One of the first albums I ever bought..pink vinyl..still thrash the CD version to this day..they had that eclectic mix ..not too obscure..not too punk..not too new wave..luv them madly..Great to bonk to also in the wee hours..or anytime of day for that matter..hehee

      Christ it's so tedious listening to people who constantly feel the need to say what bands a certain band sounds like. Just listen to it and take it for what it is. It's an au pairs song therefore it sounds like the au pairs.

      Last saw Pete at Ronnie Scotts on Broad St, Birmingham (Freddy Cole gig I think)
      Great drummer is Pete.
      40 yrs ago we would go to Au Pairs, Denizens etc gigs so regular it were great times... Nowt wrong with nostalgia if it's better than today.

    There isn't ANYTHING that isn't completely right with this... the physicality, the intelligence, the laser-focused commentary on society, gender and culture, the destruction of rock roles and cliches.... and all this as bodies ricochet around the stage.... David Byrne's recent shows LOOK like this, but they don't break things down quite as totally or convincingly...

    And that bloke on guitar. James Brown wouldn't only have fined him and sacked him, he may have done a lot worse. Those 'moves' were fucking insufferable.
