On my website there are hundreds of meal prep, snack, and macro friendly dessert recipes that I have developed over the years. There are no targeted ads, no pointless life stories and endless scrolling to get to the ingredient list, just the recipes. I have a subscription based model where Gold Members have access to every recipe on the site, which is under $5/month with annual memberships. If that's not your thing, there is also a Silver level membership that is free for life, still ad free, and you get access to a good amount of the recipes. Registering to become a member, whether that is a Gold or Silver (free) member, is the best way you can help support what I do. I appreciate all of you more than you know 😎

Your recipes helped me lose so much weight. The meals aren't the best in that I would serve it for friends, but when I just want to get a healthy meal to binge netflix with yours are the videos I turn to. Tasty, easy, healthy.
Yeah I find a lot of the time he doesn’t use enough spices to give the meats any flavors.
While josh prides himself on the quick and easy meal for your macros, that doesn’t mean you have to eat tasteless meats. My advice is learn how you like your meats spiced, use those flavors and add them to his recipes. Works out a lot better over the last 6 months I’ve been making his meals
That part about the meals not being the fanciest stuff that one would serve to their friends is honestly why I love this channel; 99% of my cooking is for myself so I'm very rarely cooking to impress somebody. Most channels are way too preoccupied with trying to make the best tasting or looking meals, while Josh just cuts through the bs and makes recipes I can easily follow, meet my goals without hating myself, and get on with my life.
@@apophis456 Thats how cooking works long term. Use a recipe to start, learn technique, then adapt to your tastes.
@@TheGreektrojan yeah, the thing is that it’s a common pitfall when you’re new to cooking, you’ll follow the recipe to a T and run into issues like this
I think your comment is the perfect summation of this channel.
Each meal prep channel prioritizes some things over others (protein, cost-effective, healthy, quick, taste, etc). I use recipes from a few different sources depending on what I am looking for. Even then, I still tailor every recipe a bit to my liking. As we all should, for these channels all exist as guides.
Josh's channel is always great for a quick, easy, healthy meal.
Your channel/recipes have been such a big help for me. I'm down from 340 lbs to 272 lbs and a huge part of it has been from using your meal prep meals every week. I had to join The MPM Club as a thank you... and for the extra recipes of course :)
thats huge
Wow, thats impressive man. Keep up the great work!
That’s impressive! I was 300 last year and I am down to 240 and still going down
@@rxnnae nice bro... I hit 266 a couple days ago and had a cheat day today so expecting to go up a few. Let's keep each other accountable!!! Trying to be in the 240s by mid summer.
Great job!
You inspired me long time ago to go on meal prep and follow diet, I've lost 21kg in just 4 months and saved a lot of money on groceries. I'm spending maybe 40£ a week on shopping list and I'm finally living a healthy life 👌 Thank You Mr. Josh ❤️
First thing I see when waking up is my boy Joshy showcasing his skills as a culinary weapon.
Big fan of your accessible style of cooking. I am often running low on energy so seeing someone use pre-prepared ingredients like carrots and garlic is comforting. Sometimes even those small things can be the different between me cooking and not.
I agree, chopping up the carrots and garlic could easily add an extra 10 minutes and not to mention possibly more to clean up afterwards.
I always wash my mushroom because 1) don’t got time to wipe down each cap 2) a little water helps mushrooms cook down and reduces the amount of oil
“Global elites” killed me when talking about washing mushrooms. Lol. I love it. I always wash and often scrub my mushrooms - often underwater even.
Perfect timing! I was looking for something super simple for lunches this week and I've eaten your other more simple recipes to death. Nobody else does these sorta no-nonsense quick-and-dirty meal prep recipes like you do.
😎😎
Yes, I wash my mushrooms too. They are always delicious, and cleaner than those dabbed things.
Have been following you a while and just tried two low calorie meals last week, I am really hooked. Great easy recipes and awesome for the work week lunches! Thanks!! 👏🏻
Glad you like them!
Just finished 2 hrs of meal prepping and I sit down and see this?!! The audacity
I’m new and I have to say this is the first channel with easy healthy recipes and easy to follow… yea I’m a follower now
I’m here for the meal prep. I stayed and subscribed for the satire and shade. “global elites” mushroom etiquette had me. I personally just blow on my mushrooms and say eff it! They don’t own me! Looking forward to the recipes and pearls of wit. Carry on.
Could you do a video about your essential items and ingredients in the pantry that are versatile between recipes? I noticed that there are some common ingredients between recipes, such as soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, etc. I was wondering if you could do a video about what are the bare essentials to have because when I want your videos I plan my shopping list
Josh! I used to be SLOW as hell with peeling garlic too. The ultimate hack is to lay your knife blade flat over it and press it and the bit of breaking up the garlic will get it out of its shell easily. I swear by it now. You seem talented enough with the knife to dice it after that.
thanks so much! i made this today and the flavor and volume are *chefs kiss* just as advertised. thanks for having the macros in the thumbnail - it helps a lot. for a shorter woman these recipes are perfect for a cut or bulk :)
Looks good. I would use cabbage or bok choy in place of the bell pepper because peppers don't like me. 😂
Just came back to say I love this one. I'm eating it this week for lunches and it reheats really well. I add a little soy sauce when I eat it.
i have to say, your recipes are awesome. i do have to increase portion size for myself, but i have a calorie intensive job. but you meals always taste good and are filling!!
Loving these Asian Ground Turkey Bowls this week! I've literally looked forward to lunch the last 2-days and am hunting your channel for next weeks meal prep. From one Josh to another, keep up the great work!
I made the turkey with the addition of caramelized onions with the turkey and it came out fantastic!
This is awesome! I actually got inspiration to make a similar recipe after I watched one of your other turkey bowl videos and used soy sauce, low sodium chicken stock and ginger for the sauce and all kinds of peppers. So good!! 🤤
I’m pregnant and only have one day off where admittedly, I haven’t been eating the best stuff. :( I’m excited to try out your meal prep videos, and feed the babies better!
The issue with washing mushrooms is that it adds water. The solution is to throw them in the pan first and cook them longer
Very excited to see this. I just got a mini fridge to house my meal prep and got the containers coming today. I'm going to start with this recipe
I love your vids man, great instructions, great food and you don’t take it too seriously
The Chile Lemon Rice bowls were delicious. I added some shredded cabbage to add a bit more volume. Can't wait to try this one too.
Microplane the garlic, can leave the skin on, not noticeable at all. Nice and easy.
Agreed!
Not a fan of turkey, but I will give this a shot because so far all your recipes have been spot on good.
Ground turkey can taste very good if you season it correctly. Turkey breasts, and legs, taste different than ground turkey
Egg slicer makes quick work of slicing mushrooms evenly.
This looks great and I'm making it this week! Thank you for posting the recipes. I get stumped sometimes with what to make that has a high protein content but also isn't just nothing but meat, meat, meat.
This was a great and easy meal prep idea. I'm going to take your ideas and suggestions for meal prepping for the week. Thanks
I love the tips you give on cutting up produce, never thought about the pepper upside down. can't wait to try this one. Looks awesome too, thanks again!
I just meal prepped this for lunches this week using sugar snap peas in place of carrots. 20 minutes and soooo delicious. Thank you!
Just made this tonight. Probably one of my favs meal prep recipes
I love how you keep it short and simple. How do you think this recipe would work with ground chicken instead of turkey?
This is exactly what I suggested for a video! Thank you so much! Making it now man!! ❤
Just made this tonight for the week. Came out absolutely delicious. Thank you 🙏
Great recipe! I swapped out the white rice with quinoa since I am trying to eat less white rice. When I reheat, I put everything into a pan and give it a quick stir fry. Add in some gochujang to give it some kick.
I buy and eat brown rice and it's healthier but it does take longer to cook
Making this next weekend! You should release these on Fridays for me.. I do grocery shopping on sat and meal prep Sunday 😂 cheers man keep up the great work
Heyy Josh, could you pleaase do a Keto meal prep video, ur meal prep videos are literally thee best on YT
Hey Joshy Knifeskills, what do you think about a video showing your slicing and dicing methods? I know that you gloss over them in your videos, but I think something more in depth could help us novices. Could also work well as a Zwilling sponsored video.
Garlic peeling hack , you have to smash them I just use my knife (which you should do anyways releases more flavor ) and the skins come off easy
Smash garlic cloves under the flat side of a knife and peeling them will be super easy
I got tired of just eating plain chicken breasts and white rice, meals like these really help continue my diet.👍👍👍👍👍
You absolutely can wash mushrooms if you're going to cook them. Just don't wash them if you're going to put them raw on a salad.
Josh, you are a godsend. Nice work my man!
This looks amazing. Can’t wait to try.
Awesome looks great too. Gonna switch up my lunch next week with this one. I have just started my prep for this work week. Lol.
Getting ready to start a 60 day body transformation or weight loss challenge at work. Last year did ok. This year will be a lot tougher. Eggs man eggs. They were a staple last year. This year would break bank. Lol.
Gonna try this one out tomorrow, thanks Josh!
I used poblano instead of green bell and it’s great!
1:07 THANK YOU someone finally said it
Realized at the end there's a written recipe, but since I took notes, here they are:
Large Skillet 1 (maybe even a cooking pot)
Medium High heat
1 TBSP (15g) Oil
Add peppers and onions
1 TBSP (15g) Minced Garlic
Add Carrots
Sprinkling of salt and stir around
Cook vegetables until softened and browned
Large Skillet 2 over Medium High heat
1 TBSP (15g) Oil
2 LBS of 93/7 Ground Turkey
Even layer in skillet
Season lightly with salt and pepper, and allow to brown for a few minutes
Then break it up and stir a bit
50 percent cooked, add in the mushrooms, cook with meat another 5 minutes or so, until no pink remains
Add Sauces
3 TBSP Soy Sauce
2 TSP Sriracha
1 TBSP Honey
1 TSP Sesame oil
½ TSP Ground Ginger
Stir into meat, taste and season with Salt and Pepper as needed
Lay out 5 meal prep containers. To each container:
½ cup cooked Rice to each (could double rice if you want more calories)
Divide meat equally
raw carrots if you didn't add them with other vegetables
cooked vegetables.
I have never heard of the mushroom towel thing, lol. I just soak em for a little bit. But gotta try that more often as a filler for ground meat dishes.
Clever tip with keeping the carrots raw
Hey I discovered your channel a day ago and I’ve been amazed at how many good dishes you have! I was wondering how many of your dishes should I make for maintaining rather than weight loss or gain at the current moment, if I was on a 2000 calorie diet for example. Other than that, I will definitely try your recipes in the future!
Awesome! Gonna make this one next meal prep day.
Hope you enjoy 😎
Should we drain the excess fluid after the turkey and mushrooms are done? And then add the honey/soy sauce mixture?
Thank you man! I really appreciate these videos
I’m totally making this. Only I’m SUPER lazy soo I going to buy the chopped up mushrooms too… also it’s TBD on whether I’ll actually make this stuff this weekend. To be continued…..😂😂
Just what I need after my High Calorie High, High Volume Xmas diet mesocycle..
This is definitely happening for next weeks meal prep.😎👍
I've got to try this one.
Dude this is amazing thank you so much!
i love these videos and have made numerous recipes. Might be a dumb question, but what are some foods to satiate my appetite more. often I go without eating until I get a light headache, have a meal and then a few hours later the headache is back.
Protein and fiber are often recommended for helping you stay full for longer. It really comes down to experimenting with foods that do well for you personally
I just want to know what those tupperware containers are, I just end up re-using the tupperware I get from takeout until the end of time lmao
Excited to give this one a shot! Any recommendations on substituting the mushrooms… food allergies… you hate to see it
i would just omit them
I've used diced zucchini in ground meat like this and it turned out great.
What happened to the glass containers this guy said to use?
HAHAHA I love that you threw shade at the "global elites" for mushroom washing. I've always done the same as you. Ain't nobody got time to slowly pat and wipe down each shrooms. Anyways great recipe!
Does it HAVE to be green pepper l? Can it be red or yellow? Or maybe evern a jalapeno?
Wake up, new Josh Cortis meal prep
Damn bro you never disappoint.
I needed this thank you 🙏
Thank you Josh!
3:28 thanks for throwing tips like this in for both gainers and losers!
Awesome..making this for meal prep minus the garlic cause i forgot it lmao
Lol! I'm not crazy either. Glad I'm not alone.
Bro this is the first time hearing about the mushrooms 😂 I literally just spray mine
This shit is ridiculous. They flavor is so good and it's so filling. This is my new favorite meal prep which took the spot away from my burrito bowls. I made lime rice for this and it helped a lot. Yellow bird has been making my favorite hot sauce lately. Not a huge fan of Sriracha
Supposedly carrots prevent the onions from caramelizing so that's another reason to add them at the end.
Interesting. I’ve never heard that
@@TheMealPrepManual I have to admit I haven't done an A/B test but I may have seen it happen.
@@TheMealPrepManual I'd guess it would be due to the extra moisture released from the carrots, if anything.
Me too I always wash my mushrooms
I have always washed my mushrooms and I agree! lol
Could I substitute ground turkey for ground chicken? Ground turkey is not really available in my part of the world.
missed these vids
Guess what I’m cooking Sunday to eat next week
I am so with you on the mushroom. Ain't nobody got time for that. Also, they still seem dirty after with the paper towel
Could I sub out the turkey for 95-5 beef?
what else do you eat besides these 5 meals. considering you got a lot of protein left in the day to consume after one of these meals per day. unless you eat more than one a day
How many days can cooked rice be kept in the fridge? I am sure I have seen online people say cook rice should only be kept in the fridge for one day? Like the idea of moving to cooked rice rather than just using the microwave stuff
I've been Subscribed for a while now because your videos are really awesome.. but I must be a fatty or something all of a sudden because in the thumbnail, I thought the rice servings were cups of ranch.. yeah.. imma watch the video now
Sriracha is in short supply of late. Alternate suggestion?
i used off brand. Its only the brand name that is in short supply to my understanding
These slap...
Can eat mushroom any alternative?
bro should we make meals and store in fridge for one day and eat the remaining nexxt day ? , i am confused kindly reply
how are you filming top down? what are you using
Man I suck at eating vegetables. Its not even that I forget to or anything, I honestly just find them repulsive. no matter how they're cooked or prepared. I wish I could eat them honestly. Jealous of people that enjoy them because damn it'd make things easier, not to mention the extra variety
Great meal
Ground turkey is just not a thing where i live, would substituting it for ground chicken be a big difference?
No
Great i will buy chicken breast and try it
how long do they last when frozen?
