Van Life with Kids | A Family of Four in Mercedes Sprinter

- This is Yayho, he is a 2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 2500, Two-wheel-drive, Crew, 144 and is the family vehicle for @afamwithavan on Instagram. This family of four camper van was converted by ADF Sprinters and designed for outdoor living. Lauren & Marty wanted a vehicle that could enable their family to camp more often and be able to take advantage of the weekends more. The build out is simple but versatile and is already loaded with their camping gear at their house so at a moment’s notice they can hit the road. They wanted a setup where all the members of the family got to spend the majority of our time outside and less of it packing and unpacking.
Inside you won’t find a kitchen, bathroom or dining room table because they converted this van with all the gear to be spending time outside. The awning, outdoor shower, roof rack and gear all caters to being outside. They have a bench seat for the kids to ride while driving and incorporated stacking panel beds that give the functionality to sleep all four of the family members comfortably. This modular design lets them bring everything; A water and food cooler, outdoor kitchen, tents, camping chairs, fire pit and enough toys to keep the whole family entertained all weekend. ADF Sprinters did an excellent t job maximizing the functionality to cater to van life with kids.

@@VanTalk Considering a "crew van" for our build over cargo. How close is the bed to the backs of those chairs? looks like it leaves no room for galley unit. were they pushed all the way back in that shot? or in the forward position?

Please don’t listen to the negative and sicko comments. This family wants to get their kids outside to experience fun not freeze their asses off in a tent. I totally respect and admire this setup. I used to be a minimalist camper and still try to be, but having two young ones changes everything.

Hi all, I just LOVE the way you’re bringing up those beautiful children WELL DON YOU. Most parents these days Chuck their kids in front of a tv,PlayStation, mobile phone JUST TO HAVE PEACE, well at least you’re children are being exposed to a very important SOCIAL LIFE plus plenty of exercise fresh air and by the look of it they are having the time of their lives. If more parents would/could bring up their children up like this you’d see through generations healthier,happier and a vastly improved society instead of what is happening right now. Seeing this gives me hope so thank you very much for sharing SCOOBS UK (Wales).

This Van Rocks!! I just bought a Van and am looking to do exactly this to it, bunk beds for my family of 4. I would love to see a build video or an explanation of how you installed the bunks to the frame.
I would go with “Adventure Wagon” setup for bunks. Good luck!
