I woulda done a re pipe as well.. get rid of as many galvanized pipes as you can.. made a heck of a difference to my home.

Question for you. I want to get more of a vintage look back to my bathroom by changing to a vintage faucet. My current tub is in perfect shape.. where the current faucet us now there really isn't much of a wall.. just enough for the faucet. I am deciding weather to just get rid of it altogether and go with a free standing tub filler or build a wall with some shelves and go with a wall mount vintage faucet.. believe me I have had my fill of plastic cartridges and spouts busting. And I love the vintage look. I have new pex plumbing upstairs. Just curious which faucet would be more practical?..
