Hi guys! Today I am building the Landgraabs new mansion for my save file! This part is all the exterior and part two will be the interior. I hope you enjoy, thanks for watching!

( I have made few edits to this preset, I turned off both LiftGammaGain and Colourfulness and I turned on LumaSharpen )

In my game he is head of surgery now, and Nancy is this super powerful, savage business woman, I didn't make Johnny a sibling to Malcolm because I felt he might be a cousin or more distant relative. I did change Malcolm's traits as well because to me he's not actually a bad guy, just really spoilt.

I've always liked the idea that Geoffrey has kept in contact with Johnny. In my save, I have it so they have a really good relationship and Geoffrey has a picture of the two of them hidden in his office.

nancy is actually the landgraab; in the sims 2, when you look through their family tree, they're actually a matriarchal family! all the men took their wives' name.
it's always interesting to see how differently we can all interpret the same family. I always liked the idea that the chubby, good, plaid-wearing geoffrey is the only person nancy truly loves. he's so out of place next to her in style and such, I like to think he's a simpler man and she just fell head over heels for him entirely against her own will lol! in my game, he keeps up his relationship with johnny in secret, and johnny got his simpler, fun-loving ways from his father. :3
yes! exactly this, this is what i always do! nancy likes a free spirited husband but not a son like that i suppose!
I imagine them owning a fancy hotel in Sulani that cost body limbs to stay in

@@emmajuu There's a questionaire out at the moment and one, maybe two, of the questions hints at them asking if we want a hotel running pack. I sooooo hope they give us one this year. So many awesome idea's from it, beach resort, british B&B, underwater hotel, to name a few. I'd love it if they gave us some more outdoor activities alongside it.
I HATE JELLYBEANS yes! The Survey that just got released has that question in it about hotels/resorts and owning your own
@@Ivashaaa I really hope they do it. I've been wanting them to do what I have been calling "mylti-lot" where they have a build feature that allows you to have multiple lot types functioning on one lot
This is so different than what you normally do. Really like the outdoor grill area. Nice. Wish we could sink those hot tubs into the ground. It would look so much better, I think.
If you raise your foundation and put it on a back deck you can. I just recently did that. I made the cut out in the shape of a microchip so its functional. A tiny stair case and just enough space to climb in and boom. In ground hot tub
@@arrow0111 I would need a tutorial though. You offering? :-) But I don't want to use stairs. I just want it to sink into the foundation. I know there is a work around.
@@MadScientistSoap i could try and fiddle with one and see if its possible but I've never done it successfully. If i do figure out I'll let you know. I could try and upload a tutorial somewhere but I'm a console player so it would take a minute to figure it out😂

For the story line, Johnny Zest could just be his comedian stage name that he goes by since he was disowned from the family, and so that people don’t know he’s related to them and think that he’s rich and snobby like his mom. I love your idea for their story and this build is absolutely gorgeous!! You’re so talented and I love how detail oriented you are!
I always thought "Zest" was a stage name!

@@hailieyk Of course his parents would kick him out of their school. The tuition for their school would be very expensive and since they abandoned him they would no longer pay his school fee and they would kick him out because they wouldn't want their embarrassment of a son to be going to their school.
Melana Anonymous Oh i mean Johnny Zest family description in Chinese didn’t mention he is one of the Landgraab family very clearly.
In my head (and going off Sims 3) I'd have her in business and him a politician. Johnny was bad for their 'image' and after a fight about his future he left. I see their marriage being one of him wanting money and reputation for his career and she wanted a powerful husband, if that makes sense?
This build is so original and unique, can't wait to see the interior :)

@@SimLicy You could make Nancy into a hedge fund manager! It's one of the options for the business career and I think it really fits her vibe.
Nancy might be the only sim that I'm alright having strange proportions because I kinda would assume she has gone under the knife multiple times. I mean her lips look very unreal.

When you were talking about fixing Sims unrealistic proportions, I couldn't not think of Candy Behr. Her proportions are....waaayyyy off. Like yeah some people are very thin. But Candy takes it to unhealthy levels. I have to fix her if my sims interact with her. Like she's still skinny but now she might have room for her rib cage.
The real estate business-woman thing is actually more Nancy's speal because she's the original Landgraab and Geoffrey married into the family. In the other games he was a doctor, so I imagine him being like a wealthy famous surgeon, (we all know Nancy likes to go under the knife a lot😉).

I love LOVE this build!! Their old house was tragic this is SUCH an upgrade!😂🙈 Please god give Nancy a pool boy boyfriend😂 I am SO excited about her being obsessed with her designer dog too 🤣
My thoughts on Nancy is that she's a work-a-holic! Her business/work is her family legacy and she DEFINITELY wants to be (and is) an icy power woman!! I think keeping up appearances is VERY important (I think that's why Johnny was disowned- she thought he wasn't good enough for the family name, and I think she probably also push Malcom to take over but he's just like, an evil playboy criminal 😂)
I always follow lilsimsie's 'fancy box' method for building houses. It's really interesting to see how others build houses.
I could NEVER build something like this. I struggle with modern houses as well, but this is perfect, I'm clapping

This is really different from what you usually build but it's amazing! I often dislike huge mansions but the Landgraabs must live in one. For their story, I make them more like their TS2 versions where Nancy is a business tycoon and Geoffrey is a doctor and she's the one who's rich and all. I like to believe Malcolm looks good but is very mischievous inside, the type that deceives people (and he's got a soft spot for Cassandra Goth lol).
I don't even want to play the Sims until I have your save file. I love your builds and how you have shaken the townies up a bit. Keep up the awesome work. You know what they say, great things are worth waiting for.
When she mentioned charisma skill for Nancy I thought she had said Christmas skill and was so confused about it until she said the word again when talking about Jeffrey skills and I heard it better
In sims 3, nancy im pretty sure was in business, while jeffery was in science, it was cool and made sense with their personalities. Love the build!
Talking about the Landgraab family makes me want to play a game with Johnny Zest and make him a Global Superstar, just to show his family!

You are spot on about their original career choices, they are super wrong for them both if you know them from other Sims games. But when TS4 launched in 2014 the Business and Doctors careers weren't in the game yet which is why I guess the devs chose the Criminal and Secret Agent careers.
Business career for Nancy. Don’t the Landgraabs own a bunch of land? I think she’s the Landgraab and he took her name. And I see him as a doctor.

Love your vision for this Family, Nancy loving her dog better than her family and re-purposing poor Johnny Zests old bedroom for the dog! The building is just gorgeous and so fitting for them :)
i just hope you upload all of your builds separately in to the gallery so i can download on console! i already have some of your older ones from before 2020 because it won’t let me download newer builds.
I kinda like the idea of Malcolm and Johnny being cordial to each other. Their parents want nothing to do with Johnny but him and his brother could’ve been really good friends when they were younger but now that Johnny’s relationship with his parents is super bad, Malcolm feels obligated to not be friends with him. But they still try to be friendly and talk occasionally but it’s kind of in secret, if that makes sense.😂

I think that Nancy would be like on the board a bunch of philanthropy groups, not really a regular desk job, but one that is fitting for a rich housewife

I definitely see Nancy as more of a crooked politician. That would enable her to not always go into work and would give her all the power that she craves. As far as Geoffrey, I think he would do well in the business career. Love the backyard area!
Edit: As you were talking about the landscaping and being lush, it made me think of the stepmom from A Cinderella Story, "Droughts are for poor people. Do you think JLo has a brown lawn?" Totally sounds like something Nancy would say!
An idea for tiny houses: You can redo or do something similar to “SOLID COLOR BEACH HOUSES”, that you built 7 months ago, now that we also have Sulani, I’d be PERFECT 💛💙💜🧡💚 Those tiny colorful houses are my all time favorite! And I loooove this mansion 😍😍😍

imo Geoffrey deserves better 😤 I always split them up and have him take Malcolm to help turn him around (I always change his traits) and he welcomes Johnny back into the family bc I imagine Nancy was the one to kick him out
In Sims 3 Nancy was in Business & Geoffrey was a Doctor. I don't remember Johnny being included in the family tree & Malcolm was a child lol. I love this build & the back story! When I 1st started playing Sims 3 it was on Xbox 360 & Malcolm was grown in the business career he married a woman named Hannelore & they had a son Adrien lol

I had a whole head cannon in one of my saves to explain the changes in the Landgrabb family, I decided Geoffrey is lying about his career to Nancy, that's why his mischief skill is so high, she still thinks he's a doctor on sabbatical to write a research paper, but really he was recruited by an unnamed agency to spy on her because she's no longer just a ruthless business woman, now after a hostile takeover, she's become the head of a local organized crime ring! Geoffrey goes along with Johnny's exile to protect his eldest son, who has no idea what's going on. Malcolm is Nancy's heir but little does she know, he plans to stab her in the back and take over!
in my first university save, i had my sims go to a bar one night and while nancy was there i went in to fix her outfits and saw that there was a whole baby in their household, so i thought it was funny when you mentioned them having a third kid
i love the way you start a build it is so cool, i absolutely love how you make a story for the sims and make all of the houses so lived in and realistic

I can only imagine what it would have been like when they were young, and the kids were little, or maybe Nancy was pregnant. Like, I can't ever picture Nancy actually caring for a child.
actually the landgraab name comes from nancy, jeffree married her and took her name because it is famous around sims world, this is better explained on the sims 3
I like your interpretation of this family! Honestly, I don't know much of the Sims lore, but I imagine their marriage being a loving marriage, where they met in their young years where she was very poor, and he helped her out. She never forgot it, then when she succeeded in her criminal career, she found him again and they got married. I think she loves him, but he's kind of a random dude, he doesn't have much passions or anything, he likes working and simple things while she is passion driven, she loves adrenaline. She doesn't want to leave him, but she isn't thriving with him. She isn't made for a normal family, and that's why Johnny left and Malcom is a bad kid, because she is not a "good" mom. That's also why they own a lot of stuff (like buildings), she tries to pack her days to not feel bored, and she probably doesn't really like her house.

I think the idea for Landgrabs in the Sims 4 were supposed to be Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Nancy is a criminal whilst Geoffrey is a secret agent although Geoffrey could have went deep undercover to investigate the Landgrabs criminal activities. The bio was that Geoffrey took Nancy's last name when he married her. I think Johnny sought of rebelled against the criminal lifestyle whilst Malcolm went along with Nancy's wishes following in her footsteps. It's funny really because when I play as Johnny with the get famous pack Malcolm always ends up being one of his fans so I think he misses his big brother but Nancy won't allow it. I think Geoffrey is more sympathetic but doesn't really have the power to help Johnny. Nancy rules the Landgrab family with an iron fist.

Are you going to include the official maxis sims that are in the gallery? simcreator050 is recreating some of the other sims we see in the trailers but never got uploaded to the maxis account... it would be cool to have them in the save
I think it makes sense that she's a criminal, I just have thought in my mind that she has a really bad childhood, she was poor and she became a criminal like a drug dealer or some other high criminal job. she enjoys her wealth by living in huge mansion and live extravagantly. She became very reach, and she disowned Johny because she wanted him to be the heir and her successor but Johny refused it because he wants to be a good man and he decided to be a comedian because he loves to entertain people.
This is exactly what I try to build in my game but I'm not able to do 🤷🏻♀️

I was thinking maybe Nancy is a business woman but maybe is retired? Or just doesn’t work often and instead had taken up writing and ends up being very successful! I imagine she writes drama novels and romance and maybe some mystery? As for Geoffrey, he was a doctor in past games, but maybe he could be in the tech guru career?
EDIT: also maybe you could give them a butler but have him a bit younger so Nancy has someone😅 maybe he takes over johnnys old room? Or they have a “pool house” built for the butler

i have this idea that nancy took over as the dean of foxbury institute after her uncle retired just to fulfill her intense desire to deny aspiring little peeps their dream school.
Also, she has this mom group with octavia moon and was paid generously to allow her son in.

If you want to have a personal trainer you can set up a 'club' and have it just with Nancy, and Hunky Man. Then set the activities as workout & maybe flirt? - whenever you want her to train just call a club meeting!
