10 years ago April 4, 2009, each was competing Individually in A TV Contest in Italy. The producer had the idea to ask them to sing as a Trio. I have read that Ignazio had won the contest the year prior. He didn't want to sing "trio"; but his parents convinced him to do so. This was Piero's first appearance on the show. At that time Gianluca was 15, Ignazio 16, Piero 17. On the 4th presentation of the show, they went on as a trio. Tony Renis saw them on the TV, Called Michele and the rest is history. I'm typing this April 5, 2019. Quite a year of celebrating their 10th anniversary I will add that Gianluca won the contest in 2009.
Me too. I can listen to it over and over again. Recently I spent some time in a rehabilitation center because of physical health issues, and I took my Kindle Fire with me and found out I can play music on it, I found this song and played it over and over again. Some of the nurses that would come into my room loved hearing it and were very curious about the Kindle. I got them hooked on it. I now have a long list of music saved on the Kindle, so I can pick and choose what I want to listen to and when I want to.

I found them around 2017 on PBS when they appeared with Placido Domingo (I could be wrong about that). I started watching it, but wanted to watch something else on another channel, and decided I would watch for half an hour and then change to the other channel. Never got to the other show. I was so entranced with their singing that I was really sad when the PBS special was over. Since then, I think I've bought all their CDs and listen to them a lot. I have to list with headphones most of the time because I live with my brother and brother-in-law, and they keep telling me it's too loud. They must have hypersensitive hearing because I never play anything very loud. So, headphones it is.
