Lindsay Buckingham would later describe the point of the song as: 'I'm not looking FOR love, I'm looking OUT for love'. It's quite a dark message from one of their bigger hits. And his live renditions are a masterclass in fingerpicking.

I agree, but I kinda feel bad for Stevie in this one. I don’t think she contributed to the music at all, yet she’s still in the video, just holding her dress and swaying back and forth, and totally being Stevie.

@@scottNNJ The track is 95% Buckingham. It was recorded for his intended solo album. Only Mick contributed by playing some drum fills over what Buckingham had already recorded. So John and Christine are miming things they didn't play or sing as well. Stevie was barely there for the album - so no backing vocals on anyone else's songs - except Little Lies which they added after the album was all but finished.

Yes, a very different sound from the 70s. FM was one of the few hugely popular bands that successfully made a successful transition to the 80s. This is from Tango In The Night (1987) and their second biggest album worldwide. From the album I recommend Tango In The Night (the song), Isn't It Midnight & Everywhere. (others as well but along with Big Love those are my top 4 from it).
