  • Laika employed GFG Style - the company of famous car designers, Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro - to assist in the conception of its new flagship motorhome, the Kreos L 5009. The result - reports Peter Vaughan - is a truly stunning motorhome, oozing Italian style and equipped with every modern luxury - even a dishwasher!

Good review as usual Peter, love those locker door hinges but the fronts looked unfinished, never had a dish washer so wouldn't tick that option. Creaky floor on a 150k motorhome, not acceptable IMO but prices are now crazy. I agree with your comment re screw caps, also saw what looked to be a screw head bump in the soft finish over the cab and the bottom toilet locker door didn't quite look right with a large side gap but over all a fantastic motorhome. Cheers K.

When the two single beds are made into a double bed the gaps are atrocious. These designer teams are great at styling, but I doubt they have ever spent a day, let alone a night in a campervan. Not being able to use the bathroom at night without messing with the ladder was such a good point you made.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan

Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the Lamborghini Cala and others models that didn't reach production.
The 308 might not be his design (of course) but was there for the Italian design link. I don't have a Cala model, but if you want to send me one just post it to the MMM office and I'll use in my next Laika review!

The designer should stick with Lamborgini, he knows nothing about camping. These things are designed for people with more money than sense who will use it one or two weekends a year. If you've ever spents several months at a time travelling this design would become tiresome quite quickly.
