Ghost's Tobias Speaks With Matt Pinfield About New Song, Upcoming Tour, and His Inspirations

- Tobias Forge joined Matt Pinfield to catch up on everything going on with Swedish band Ghost on this episode of "New & Approved."
Ghost just released their first single in 2 years "Hunter's Moon" for the new horror film "Halloween Kills." Tobias dives into what it was like to write a song for a film and where his inspirations came from. The song was even partly influenced by Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" along with his research of actual harvest moons.
Tobias also tells Matt about working with Iron Maiden and contributing to "The Metallica Blacklist" album which features over fifty artists of various genres covering Metallica songs. Ghost covered their signature song "Enter Sandman," which Tobias felt so honored to do. Tobias has always been inspired by Metallica along with punk, prog rock, and a whole mixed bag of music.
Ghost is touring with Volbeat next year and will playing at The Honda Center in Anaheim on March 3rd, 2022. - Zábava

Nothing makes me happier than to know Matt Pinfield is still doing his thing. The walking rock encyclopedia! I hear that unique voice and it takes me back to the 90’s watching 120 minutes on MTV and how it influenced me! Thanks Matt also Tobias modern day Bach! Gifted with the skills of song writing, which so many bands make songs but they can’t write a real song let alone full albums worth!

I saw them for the first time ever in 2019 when they came to the State Theatre in Sydney, Australia. Wow! It was insane, it was the fist metal gig I'd been to in a long time and they were amazing to watch. I fell in love with Mikael that night. And it was nice to be around fellow darkly clad people for a change. Have you seen them!? :)
After the beginning part the interview was a pretty solid. But for real the dude called it Harvest Moon twice and Forge made it a point to bring up the fact that it was called Hunter's each time trying not to get annoyed lol.

We got to open for The DICKIES a few years ago here in Vegas. Got to hang backstage with Leonard and Stan and they signed my old copy of "Stukas Over Disneyland" record. Also saw them open for RAMONES in '88. Awesome and great band, Tobias!

I don't know, he comes across like it's it's chore to answer questions, or "I have to explain this again..." I love the music but he seems like a bit a of a jerk. No one can ask about the new album. Corey Taylor is so giving and humble. Tobias seems pretentious. Am I wrong?
There was probably a slight delay and he always takes time to thoughtfully answer questions .
I get the feeling that he might be introverted and he would much rather be making music or doing something else than this...
