If they change CH d/f 2 - My hope would be they keep it CH confirm but change the knockdown so you can only get people's elbow I like that d/f 2,1 is fairly hard to CH confirm and prefer the game having stuff to practice. For the d/f 2,1 pickup on females you want to be pressing ff immediately after d/f 2,1 (You can buffer dashes in T8) and time your d/f 4. The timing for d/f 4,3 is less strict in T8 compared to T7 - Pretty much any amount of distance forward other than getting right up to your opponent will work - so ideally try to time it so King moves forward half the distance between you and your opponent after the knockdown (About the size of Kings boot).
Small edit or correction - Ideally you want to time the d/f 4,3 so King doesn't really move at all -- But it's lenient up until king is about half way to the opponent.
If they remove the combo, King is heading straight for dumpster tier. It's difficult to over-emphasise how important df21 is at higher ranks. Just the threat of it alone is critical to his gameplan.
Hi. Maybe you or someone else can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I found this video looking for punishes to ravens many shadows. Most are negative 15 so this being a 13 frame punish is great. However when using it in training the first hit says counter but the second hit just doesn't connect. I've tried other punishes and it works great. But not far the one where raven steps back then lunges forward
i can get the side step into right punch easy but i can never land the throw. it always just whiffs. any suggestions? is there sometype of buffer im missing?
Assuming you've managed to land the sidewalk into the 2 jab, it's most likely that you simply need to be faster with the iSW. Some characters are a bit finnicky, and you need to sidewalk a little further.

Looks like there’s a slim red slash on counter hit so that could be good to keep an eye out for those who are more visual learners. 🤔
Yeah it's a red diagonal line inside the larger purple hit spark
The question I've got is how did you make that King customization? Was it in the shop? I don't think I can change the colour of his fur...

you can’t use it as a punish, it’s mainly a counter hit tool or something you’d delay getting the second hit when the opponent is not expecting it
