I remember back in 2003 when I was at Westville Correctional Facility in Indiana and a good friend of mine invited me to Prison Fellowship and it was on this day that this lost sinner found hope in a risen Saviour. Jesus changed the direction of my life and 20 years later I just love being known by Him. I love my Saviour and I am forever grateful to Him

I was by my grandfather's bedside as the nurses moved him from ICU to hospice care. Man, that felt like the longest walk ever, especially since none of my family members were with me - it was just me all by myself and him (they were all at work at the time - I was off that day). I sat with him for a bit, barely able to keep it together. After praying and singing his favorite songs w/ him, I left his bedside, went to my car and just sat in it. While sitting there idle, this song 'There is hope' came on, playing through my car speakers loud & clear. As the song played, I felt the nearness of the Lord like i've never felt before. I was so comforted in that moment, as I felt that weightiness of unbearable grief lift from me. I praise God for how he used this song/the CityAlight worship team that day... really, in general as all of their songs tend to be gospel rich and point to Christ and Him crucified! 'There is hope' is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and it came on at a very difficult time in my life. To anyone here struggling, run to Jesus and cling to Him! He is faithful and able to uphold you, even in the midst of the storm! God bless!

Good idea :). For now, u may be interested in the printable pages available on their website, designed for those who want to play them like on a piano, but I'm pretty sure the lyrics are all there, would be like a hymn book, just not in book form. They had a few of their songs available, not all, last I knew. I haven't done it yet (needed my husband available to help me with our printer), but I want to print out "Yet not I, but Christ in me", my 1st huge favorite of CityAlight's !

I know that 1john2:19 says “they went out from us but they were not of us
I assume it's referring to the greater rejoicing in heaven over a sinner repenting than a righteous person who doesn't need to. Except the sinners who've gone astray in this song seem to be Christians ("sons and daughters") who've maybe backslidden. An encouragement for such people not to despair or be hardened, but return.
That's how I read it, at least. :)
