Dear 9-year-old me... YOU DID IT

A dance decade in my life brought to you in 5 minutes.
A decade ago I was a shy, awkward 9 year old who had this need to express herself but wasn’t sure how to. A decade later, being offered a place at Trinity Laban dance conservatoire (what on Earth!!). When I tell people I started off terribly unco-ordinated I literally meant it, but tbh I love how ridiculously cringey the videos are, so enjoy haha. It took a damn lot of hours to go from a gangly 5”6 NINE YEAR OLD (freak lol) to someone only a couple of inches taller who now knows how to explore and express through her own style. It made me very emotional making this as I know I made a lot of sacrifices and went through a lot, I am so humbled that I get to continue exploring movement at a conservatoire in September!
There are so many people I am thankful for throughout my dance journey so far. I could be here all day but I’ll name a few: everyone at Susan Pheby DS & Starmaker Theatre Company & Dance Reality Studios.
Obviously there’s so many people who have helped me get to where I am and I am thankful for you all. I am incredibly lucky. THANK YOU xxx
