      Canelo has three times the number of wins over champs than Ward and fought more champs in any category you can name over Ward, even taking out the biggest name on Ward's resume and notched up 168 undisputed as the smaller man moving up which Ward refused to attempt in all his years there. Matter of fact, Ward spent 4 straight years in his prime not facing a champ period then finally fought Kovalev but after a gift decision and lowblow win decided to pull an early retirement. Ward is even out here trying to "pad" his resume post retirement by claiming a paper win in a fight ne never took saying he would've beaten Anthony Joshua at heavyweight lol.

You’re gonna criticize Canelo’s resume when he fought Mayweather, Cotto, Mosley, Khan, Lara, GGG, Kovalev, Kirkland, Trout, Bivol, Plant, Jacobs, etc. Look at Ward’s weak resume fighting a bunch of slow European fighters and ducked certain fighters himself. Ward got one of the most padded records in Boxing history and we all know he lost that first Kovalev fight.

    • @californio1850
      @californio1850 Před 3 měsíci

      @@lilsaff21 Canelo never made use of franchise status, after he unified 3 belts at 160 and Charlo rejected an offer, he moved up 2 divisions to take out Ward's top career name Kovalev and didn't need lowblows to do it then unified all four titles at 168 for undisputed which Ward refused to attempt in all his years at 168. And remains champ with a record number of defenses of any 4 belt crown unlike Ward who straight up pulled an early retirement after his Kovalev lowblow knowing it wasn't going to get any easier with Beterbiev as his mandatory.
      It's also funny you'd bring up PED tests when that's only a worse look for Ward. All the evidence pointed to Canelo's innocence including the negative follicle test. It wouldn't even be a violation today under WADA which sets the Olympic standards. Meanwhile he was one of the few fighters even doing random testing then while others including Ward flat out refused to submit to random testing when challenged. Quote Ward: “Simply put I told him ‘we’re not having it’. We’re not going to be manipulated into doing random blood and urine testing. We’re not going to be bullied into doing random blood and urine testing. And he needed to understand and I wanted to send him a message right away that you are the challenger. I want you to know that now and I want you to understand that"
      Dude didn't even want his urine tested lol. Even funnier, Ward then turn around and questioned his opponent for working with convicted PED dealer Victor Conte when Ward himself worked with Conte lol. Matter of fact, Ward was one of the first to prop up Conte after his conviction.

    So when did Canelo fight GGG? He was an undefeated monster everyone was ducking and he fought him 3 times. Everyone was saying he was ducking him then too. Canelo dominated the last one. He also fought Floyd, Cotto, Jacobs, Saunders, Plant, Bivol, Charlo who were all good fighters or champions at one point. How can anyone say he fought no one? Compared to who Benavidez who fought literally no one

      @elfuerte6341 actually I feel GGG was a bit overrated as a monstrous puncher. He was a pretty good technician and decent power to crumble lesser opponents and keep good opponents guessing. Same is applocable to Canelo but he has more finesse and faster combinations than GGG. But none of the two are no where as monstrous or deadly finishera that Artur Beterbiev, Crawford or Inoue are in their respective divisions.

      Charlo was massively undersized. Jacobs had already been beaten by GGG that win aged terribly when John Ryder beat Jacobs too. Cotto was over the hill after Martinez fight.
      Bivol and Floyd beat him. GGG arguably beat him the first time and the third fight was when GGG was almost 40. He lost to Lara unofficially.
      Canelo's best wins are Callum Smith, Kovalev, Plant, Saunders and GGG rematch (second fight).
      That said, he's won titles in several weight classes so is he an all time great. Absolutely. But let's pretend he hasn't picked and choosed at times.

      Ward’s disingenuous Golovkin slander is pure bitterness. Ppl that follow the sport remember how unserious that “Golovkin offer” was. This fish story keeps getting bigger and bigger, offering a fight to a fighter that already has a contracted fight is theater.
      Golovkin had stated repeatedly he wanted to unify the MW division (160 lbs). Golovkin was fighting 3-4x/yr on HBO in order to keep those belts AND pursue others for unification.
      Ward was fighting an avg of once every 18 months, and only after lengthy contract disputes that may fall apart at any moment, AND at a higher weight (168 lbs aka Super MW). It’s nonsensical to state GGG ducked Ward. As if Ward had anything to fear either. Dude was Hopkins/Floyd Lite, no power, lil action, just ugly pt fighting.

      I like Ward. He could be a role model. Not really a trash talker, lived a relatively clean life, man of God and family man…but man!! He is a Canelo hater! It’s like it hurts him to give Canelo his flowers.

      Bro... dont ever Canelo to Floyd lol. Floyds first 10 years of his career alone, outdid Canelos whole career. Even when Mayweather got into position to pick fights, he fought 4 or 5 all time greats lol. Canelos been fighting white boys from Europe the last 5 years
