    nice to get clear roasting temp and time but your method of salting the nuts is really not working, because salt melts at 801°C, so it won't melt even "a little bit".
    i got 2 better methods:
    -better: finely grind salt using a blender, fine particles will stick much better.
    -best: use *clean* spray bottle, spray the nuts with small amount of very salty water at the end of roasting, keep roasting until water evaporates. that's how they get the seasoning to stick so well to commercially available roasted nuts.

    With almonds and peanuts I just put them into the air fryer's own basket. It's with smaller items like seeds that a finer mesh would be better, so things don't fall through the vents on the bottom of the basket.

    Hi. How abt for sunflower seeds and sliced cut almonds ? Do we use the same temp.? And if i want the seeds to have a sweet taste do we jus add fine castor sugar or honey to coat them. I would like to have them dry and be kept in air tight container

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Theresa Choo, thank you for the question 😄 Yes, you can do the same with sunflower seeds and sliced cut almonds, using the same temperature. On the sweet taste, the method used is different. The roasted nuts will need to be added to hot melted sugar in a pan and stirred until they have separated and cooled. 😄

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  Před 3 lety

      Hi 真理Truth, thank you for the comment 😀 I don't usually wash the nuts first as I buy them prepackaged from the bakery. They can be washed first if preferred. The roasted nuts do not need to be kept in the fridge. I keep them in air tight containers in room temperature. They can last this way for 1 - 2 weeks. Hope it helps 😀

    It's better to soak nuts in salt water for 30mins. Dry it then only air fry. Or u can dry it with airfryer with low heat like 80degree Celsius for 20mins. Then only airfry them with 170-180 degree Celsius for desired time.

      Hi TAY Janie, thank you for sharing 😀 So far, I buy my nuts and seeds pre-packaged from a bakery supply store, and they package chocolate chips and flour the same way. Which is why I don't wash them, as to me, the hygiene level is the same throughout the products. Since many people have reached out on their concern on this, I'll give it a try the next time I get them 😀
