Ah, much better now that I’ve had my daily Shawn Tubbs fix.
Always an interesting lesson i so much appreciate your time and efforts !! Recently watched your trip to the great north hanging out with the Revv gang how entertaining! Reminded me of Strange Brew the 80s movie meets guitar slingers. Got some awesome slide tips love your whammy slide replication!
Yes this is so nice. I've always watched closely as to how you play outside so tastefully and interesting. The more I learn, the more I learn how much there is to learn haha. But yet these are not difficult concepts to grasp. Playing them as smooth and flowing as this video is another story. But it opens a new way of approaching improvisation. I believe sincerely tossing in some of these great teaching ideas adds to the REVV channel. Helps bring exposure. And for those of us that follow regardless it's a very nice treat to get mini lessons now and then in the mix of great reviews and demos.
Thanks Allan!!
Ugh Shawn is so good. Ridiculously good!
Thanks so much Ash!
your runs on the neck are great ... thanks for showing them !
Thanks so much!
Thanks for these ideas! I especially like the second shape because of the way it bridges two positions of the pentatonic scale, great when moving up and down the neck!
Do your thing with it!! Thanks for watcihng!
MAN- this is great.
Thank you Shawn, again another great lesson very usable shapes, you have a very distinct approach even to simple pentatonic sequences.
Thanks very much!
Great lesson! Thank you!!
Thanks for watching Tony.
Thanks Shawn very good information
Thanks very much!
Thanks Shawn!
Thanks for watching Jason!
Always appreciate the tasty tips & tricks from the one of the BEST ! Would also appreciate an occasional camera close up/pan to the amp & it's settings ... & any booster gear you prefer.
Cheers Shawn.
I need to get a 3rd inset camera at some point but yes, I can start including inset still shots of settings. Thanks!
Shawn Tubbs : Looks & sounds great anyway.
@@tonelocrian Thanks so much!
Awesomeness!!! Thanks Shawn!!! Your tone is always awesome! Playing through the Revv D20 direct today for this one?
Thanks so much! Yes, that was the G20 direct!
your a bad ass bro!
Awesome sauce! (It gives me hope, albeit a small one, that you are using speed bumps as a ref. So, you’re human…phew, those playing skills, I was beginning to suspect cyborg 😂)
LOve it
Thanks a lot for the great lesson.
Love your playing always.
Is that a new dgt?
You had one with dots if i remember correctly
I did have a DGT with moon inlays early on but it had some finish issues. It was something PRS was and has sorted out. I eventually traded it for the one I have now. Thanks so much for watching!
sounds like the Robert Baker scale
where would you recommend a novice/beginner starting with all this?
Hey Shawn, wondering what you thought of your old boss's rendition of How Great Thou Art a little while back on the CMA's?
I've never worked with anyone more talented than Carrie.
im still trying to get that sound something as close.the single notes are clear and pronounced and the chords are full and stong like bull.Im fiddling around still I sometimes think Im happy then I come on here an I go back to the drawing board lol.
Getting tone is a process for sure!
Why does your hand shake?
Great lesson! Please what are you playing through? Sounds Really Fat!
Thanks!! That's the REVV G20 running direct using the 1st position on the Virtual Cab Selector. It's a REVV 4x12 cab with a Royer 121 / Shure SM57 mic combo. I'm using the 2nd channel on the G20 in the first aggression mode. The gain is set to about noon. The reverb and delay or plugins in ProTools.
@@ShawnTubbs Man Thanks for the info! Seems I've got a Revv in my Future!
Hope you and your Family have a great Christmas!
