On a warm evening In September 2013, GS invited a few members of the Supporters Trust for an informal get-together with him & DW at Luton Cricket Club, a couple of days after Benson had made his debut at Kidderminster after signing on loan from Swindon. During the evening he said to us, "Who's the best signing Luton (under 2020) have made?" I think Andy Drury & Andre Gray were suggested as possible answers. "No," he said, "Paul Benson will be one of the best signings this club will ever make."
