I met her at a party in the 90's after a Bush concert. She had no makeup on and was in overalls. She was so down to earth and kind and funny and did not seem to be overwhelmed by stardom. She sat on a couch where I was and just chatted with me for about 10 minutes. Nice lady. I have enjoyed the music that I have heard by her...especially No Doubt
I heard a similar story from a man who met her. I can't say the same details he wrote but basically he and his wife wanted to go to a big club and they were not allowed to enter there. It was a special day for them. His wife saw Gwen walking past them and said look that's Gwen Stefani and he said she is beautiful but she is short to be Gwen. Gwen heard that, turned back and said I am Gwen. Thank you for the compliment and she said yeah I am short. He was pretty nervous and thought that was gonna be the end of their conversation. But she asked them what were they doing in the middle of the night and the wife said they wanted to go to the big club to celebrate their special day. Gwen said them to follow her and told the person in the front they were with her and made their day.
Gwen is an extraordinary woman! Down to earth, beautiful & no airs of grandeur with her! She deserves every happiness she gets! Her & Blake make the perfect couple! The song Hey Baby references how the boys in the band were partying and chasing girls and she was sitting around drinking tea

This is the kind of interview I'd really like to see more often. Two people who genuinely like and respect each other, a smooth and natural conversation, some interesting backstories, a woman who talks, talks, talks but you don't get the feeling she is going to annoy you anytime soon and a host who asks appropriate questions and lets his guest finish his (her) answers. Great job!

Gwen Stefani is such a sweet, kind, generous, self-deprecating, and positive person. The greatest part of realizing what a bright, beautiful, light Gwen Stefani is; is the understanding that she is beyond humble. Gwen lives by example and it is one of the most wonderfully impactful ways to be a truly lovely human being.
Came here for Gwen Stefani, but blown away by the interviewer. He was amazing and such positive and insightful questions and most importantly a great listener!

Gwen is my most fav celeb...she’s so down to earth...and I absolutely love her and Blake together...what a couple...and now they gonna get married...so wonderful.

I never really was a fan or even aware of Gwen's music, but, I am a big fan of Gwen the person now! Just love her, so inspiring and down to earth...for a glamour girl!
she had a HUGE career in Europe in the 90s. Number one in most countries in the world.
No Doubt started off ska and became pop rock, her solo stuff was like hip hop and dance music and she has a Christmas album so there's probably something for everyone in her catalog
This is a really nice interview. Seth asks questions & let’s his guest answer, seems like a lost art with most hosts.
I still hear at least one or two No Doubt songs on the radio that plays at my work every morning when we're unloading the truck and stocking the shelves.
It's got that unique staying power, after all these years. She's just great. 👍

It's called Botox/filler and plastic surgery. It blows my mind that anyone would look at her face and think that this is natural. She looks like a plastic doll.
@Free Bird where?? Umm, on her face? Or maybe it's all just Botox and filler, I don't know (but I don't think so). She definitely does NOT look like she did when she was younger. I mean, she can't even move her face properly, her facial expressions are severely limited. If you cannot see that, you're willfully ignorant and I can't help you. Just look at her lips for crying out loud, they're blown-up to a point where it's almost comical. If you think Gwen looks natural, you probably also think Kim Kardashian looks natural.

A band I worked with opened for No Doubt in 2009. In the classiest of moves for a band with their popularity, No Doubt asked if they could come to the dressing room to greet us and welcome the band to the tour. This was in Toronto at (now named) Scotiabank Arena. They were so gracious and personable and kind. We chatted with them for a few minutes. My son who was 12 at the time was with me and they were so awesome to him. Gwen even posed for a photo with him. She was absolutely stunning in person and their performance was so impressive. So yes, stan away on Gwen!

His career was in a slump for 10 15 years then he did a record w aTrace Atkins and came back.
Trace is as nice as he is tall, and way more talented than Blake.

My brother hung out with her and her band in 1997 at a nightclub in Riverside, Ca. He said she drove a Toyota Corolla and was very kind and friendly. He ran into her again in 1999 at a Home Depot in Hollywood; she had her bright pink hair and was buying a window air conditioner LOL

I remember seeing her on Ellen a few years ago ,they showed a photo of her in high school ( she graduated from the same high school I did) and then they did a split screen and showed a photo of Blake in high school,he had a mullet ,Ellen asked her if she would have been interested in him ,she said no,I think they’re an adorable couple I wish them well ,she also grew up around the corner from me as well albeit 20 years later.

I miss the punk rock Gwen. When she was in the magazines and everyone hated on her 🙄. I LOVED her style then. Every time, I thought 💭 Gwen wore it best. Somehow “they” said otherwise. That’s when I knew. I was the outcast. I loved it 🥰. I was like “wow! I’m as cool as Gwen Stefani!” Then she went Harajuku. I liked it, and I also felt like it was AFI going from punk to Glam 🎸 Goth.

I definitely loved Tragic Kingdom in high school, stuff like I'm Just a Girl speaks to not just girls, but how the establishment/patriarchy keeps all of us down. Was not really there for the non-punk stuff, but that's fine, lots of people were. I don't like artists that don't change over time, even if I don't love their new stuff, I can always enjoy what they already made.
I agree, her punk stuff is definitely her best in my opinion. But the one thing I’ve always loved about her is that whatever it is she’s doing, it always feels like it’s truly her and not just a completely manufactured image. I find her and Blake to be a little over the top for my taste at times, but they seem really happy so I can’t hate on that.

I loved her since I was a Tragic Kingdom Junkie at 11-12 years old it helped me through some dark times...even when I sang "Just A Girl" I suffered so many female "stereotypes" yet im a dude, and it I wonder why do I know "what it feels like for a girl" (Bonus points for Madonna reference). It is called "Ska". It is somewhat of a hybrid genre of music highly associated with Jamaican music by way of the pop/punk music of England/U.K. I bet Wikipedia has a good entry on it!
Ska is great you should try it. Very fun, danceable music, but with kinda punk attitude and lyrics most times.
Google Madness, The Specials, or Two Tone. There are some great tracks. It's very bouncy, like an upbeat reggae.

Gwen also won both best female artist and best male artist the same year at the MTV music awards- she can do anything!
Totally understand her. I am totally into country boys or mostly hard working blue collard men. Totally the "opposite" of what people think I should be attracted to. But those country boys/blue collar men have more similar to me than any other type.
