Red Earth, released in Japan as War-Zard (ウォーザード, Wōzādo), is a fantasy-themed 2D fighting game released by Capcom as a coin-operated video game in 1996. It was the first game for Capcom's CP System III hardware, the same hardware which Street Fighter III and its derivatives ran on. As of 2019, Red Earth is the only CPS III video game which has never been officially ported to home platforms, although its characters have appeared in later Capcom games.

She even has an attack that's similar to spinning bird kick.
Red Earth is such a strange beast of a fighting game, a glorified tech demo that was simultaneously ahead of it's time.
the fact that the game was based around a more in depth single player experience meant it was tailor made for a dedicated home port, maybe flesh out the game more, replace the password system with the ability to save your progress, give people more incentive to continue playing. perhaps we could have even gotten a sequel or spiritual successor later on down the line. shame they never did more with the IP (because I refuse to acknowledge the dumpster fire that was CFE)
This is such a neat concept for a game. An RPG fighting hybrid. Definitely has some Dungeons & Dragons arcade vibes too (I loved the two games in that series).

Game has that Night Warriors/Dark Stalkers vibe, right down to the voiceover/sound fx & music.
Red earth is an underrated capcom game. They need to bring this back into the present, not just dark stalkers.

Red Earth is the main featured game along side the entire DarkStalkers/Vampire Saviour series in Capcom Fighting collection which is coming out 4 months from now.

Oh man, this game looks fun as hell... Not nearly enough single-player-centric fighting games out there, much less with leveling mechanics.

Bad Ending with a dog? I had that ending before at the arcades I thought that ending was good, the dog was cute.

CFE is a joke.. Most enemies here made it there, but not even one of the protagonists did.

I feel like this game would be right at home on an SNES ( not with the same graphical fidelity of course) But just the RPG Fighting hybrid gives me an SNES feeling.

What a well designed game. Really interesting characters. Kongou voice sounds like Heihachi from tekken. I bet its the same voice actor.

Each character have different conditions, for Mai Ling:
Good Ending: Complete the game using 4 or fewer continues.
Bad Ending: Complete the game using between 5 and 19 continues.
Simple/Normal Ending Complete the game using 20 or more continues.
