Albert Bridge at night is lovely all lit up...and I think the Range Rover NOT2B is Rowan Atkinson's car - and he did have an Aston Martin with the Reg 2BE that used to be parked next to it

Many of the lampposts on the older bridges (and much of central London/the city) were likely made by William Sugg & co. Ltd. who are still going (after a bit of a messy ownership change)

The low rise cream coloured building on the right at 20:16/20:17 is a very secret squirrel building not sure exactly who uses it but it has tubestyles on the main entrance and covers over all winnows which along with it's location opposite MI6 just screams "secret stuff going on here".

Thanks Ogmios, I was over there in 2022 with my mum, we landed @Gatwick 1:15pm after a 23hr 1 stop flight from Western Australia. I picked up the hire car and drove straight through London to Islington and our AirBnB. Mum's from Hackney Wick, at one point Google maps failed us... "You wanna cut through here." says mum out of the blue, I guess 86yrs doesn't change that much?

@@teapotpete Yeah I didn't think about tunnels. Just happened to pass through the Rotherhithe Tunnel. Maybe next time! Dartford would have been nice too but bit far out for this particular quest.
Super episode Ogmios! My office used to overlook Hammersmith Bridge and my flat overlooked Kew Bridge. And yes, the Hogarth Flyover! Know 'em all well. Left London 20 years ago for the Cotswolds where our bridges are rather more sedate. Water under all of them ends up in the Thames though! If only I'd used the Ogmios zen style of driving over the 30 years I spent crossing most of the bridges in your episode. Might have stayed in London!

Westminster Bridge is lovely as a pedestrian. If you go across from the Palace you can sit on a nice bench and look at the building crouched low by the Thames. Gorgeous at sunset.

I've driven over all those bridges, (and the ferry,) many years ago when you could drive around London unhindered and park almost anywhere you wanted, a far cry from now, but nice to see it again and reminisce. I wouldn't want to live there again though, I prefer the easy life.

Actually they own the number plate 2B as well but it wasn't on a range rover the last time I saw it, they usually park both vehicles next to each other in the correct order.
The Dartford crossing is also technically a Thames crossing and what about the Blackwall tunnel?

Personally quite fond of Lambeth bridge - would be quite an unassuming one except for the towering pineapple pillars either end of it. Never has a pineapple looked so majestic.
There is another car that's usually parked there with the registration plat "2 BE". the owner of the house is a theatre owner.

Thank you for another relaxing tour Ogmios, That muted trumpet was really cooking, you always leave us wanting more fading in and out of your tantalising tracks, I hope there will be an EP available to listen to the full masterpieces 'Holgarth Flyover' & 'Pigeon on the dash' have got tube lead singles, Also I rewinded the impressive fence vaulting moment when investigating Hammersmith Bridge on foot you were truly in the zen parkour flow, I often hesitate when approaching a fence vault and I am learning to clear ones mind before overcoming such obstacles 🎺🌊🌴

Great video as usual Ogmios. Made my commute to work infinitely more relaxing. The car with the square number plate was a Japanese import btw. The regular UK plates don’t fit the smaller space so they fit a square plate instead.

Yeah I should be able to stay closer to the river on the E-bike so might cut some time off but then other bits will take longer. Not sure I want to go in the rotherhithe tunnel on my e-bike 😂 Would be a fun challenge though to see how many bridges I can get through.

There are always loads of cyclists around Richmond and Kingston because of Richmond Park. It's rammed full of cyclists every day. Many of them have "all the gear and no idea". Best to give em a wide berth.
You can get a bike on the dangleway Ogmios, but sadly e-bikes are temporarily not allowed while TFL 'reviews their safety approach.' Would be great to do the Greenwich foot tunnel, too, though a broken lift could test your zen with the battery to carry.

I have experienced the same "no service" when trying to use the Woolwich ferry, so have yet to experience that.
Oh yeah! I put the wrong time on Southwark Bridge. It should be an hour earlier 🤦♂Yeah I would like to go back to woolwich ferry at some point. Sorry about my negative vibes, that's just how I feel about my Tower Bridge experiences - touristy and trafficky. But each to their own! 🙏
