Why? Not all explosions cause fires... a grenade doesn't, that's all about the pressure and shrapnel.
@@micglouThat was not a real grenade, watch the scene, it caused giant plumes and balls of fire. An explosion of THAT type is going to ignite the entire house and keep on burning.
Whenever you have explosions in movies you have to do what it's called a willing suspension of disbelief if you know anything at all about HE and LE. As you likely know all those fireballs that are supposed to be "explosives" in movies are usually gasoline; HE in a small amounts does not produce a lot of smoke.

Well in reality, pipe bombs don't throw much shrapnel, they usually just blow the seam and you maybe get one large piece of shrapnel or maybe two or three pieces. So unless somebody happens to be in the path of those two or three pieces, shrapnel is not really a problem. Not that I would want to be in a room in that scenario. If you are unlucky enough to be in the path, that's bad. Surrounding it with nails however•••••
Though even then it will not be a very symmetrical dispersal. Military stuff has it down to a fine science, however and can produce a perfectly spherical dispersal if that is what's required. Sometimes that's not required. Google Claymore mines. A different approach. The right tool for the right job.

Why do they train them to shoot a guy in his bullet proof vest after you find out he is wearing a bullet proof vest?
Training was probably to shoot center mass. Biggest target: the best chance to hit your target. And, since they probably have YEARS of experience and training, you dont just suddenly forget all you have learned. Thus, center mass shots which were blocked by armor.

The neighbours couldn't hear this because they were not allowed in the vincinty of the set and were send to a motel during the filming of this scene.
When seconds count, the police are minutes away.

I don’t care for his partner, she weakens the script, there’s just something about her personality. When you watch Reacher and her together just imagine Reacher talking with his next door neighbor that he’s known for awhile. Maybe it’s just that she’s too low key and she’s suppose to portray as if she has some certain intelligence or is tough, nope, none, not at all, she too low key for Reacher. I think she brings his character down.
The thing about Reacher/Roscoe is that they first met in the start of the series, and you see them grow closer and their romance feels believable.
Here, the buildup point occurs offscreen and it’s more tell don’t show, so it feels hollow.
I am SO OVER ridiculously choreographed fight scenes. Can we get more plot, less choreography??

Beyond corny. The guy with the knife in the kitchen yells a warning when attacking him from behind. The other bad guys all jump out from behind doors or walls and present themselves wide open before shooting to enable the so-called good guys to shoot first. The women can beat the crap out of the bad guys. Every near death or luck shot results in the so-called good guys coming out without a scratch.
So badly done it might as well have been a cartoon.
